Hey is there anyone else experiencing pain along with a tingling, numbing sensation in their left leg? It actually goes from my butt to my knee and sometimes down my calf, but my left leg only. I am beginning to think that this is from my epidural. My epidural shot area has been sore lately too. Idk why?
What did you do about the pain? Does it go away in time?
Thanks mamas!

What can I do next?

Go to your Doctor.
this does not seem "normal." I've had epidurals with both my births...and did not experience this. Especially since the epidural shot area is sore.... there should not be any side effects like this, that I am aware of.

Check with your Doctor right away. That's what I would do.
Take care,
~Susan

i had an epi with my first (and only) son in may 2005. i felt the soreness, and when i got home i felt like i was in a car accident or something. my back was sooo out of wack. many people suggested i see a chiropractor, but i was too chicken. i probably should have gone because i still have a weak back (and i do core strength training).

Sounds like Sciatica to me. Whether it was agrevated by the Epidural or just the labor, I can't say for sure. Go to a Chiroprator. It will make a HUGE differnce in about 2 weeks of treatment. Sciatica is caused by part of your sciatic nerve being pinched. when the nerve is un-pinched, it makes SOOO much difference in how you feel.

I had residual pain from the Demoral they gave me after my C section. I only let them give me one shot because it hurt! If they get a nerve it will hurt for a while but don't ignore it. Get it documented and get to a Chiropracter. Mine went away but it took a while.
