We are redoing our finished basement and since the kids are older, they will be spending more time there. I used a radon test kit and the level recorded is high. I would appreciate any recommendation for companies that perform radon removal.

We used Dave Masa in Naperville. Very nice guy and professional. We bought a house two months ago, and it had a high level so as part of the negotiation the sellers paid to have it done.

We did not have the work done, but met with and received a proposal from two companies. The one that we were most impressed with and that earned the highest ratings on Angie's List was Elliott & Associates. When the time comes, we will definitely call them to do the job.

Hi J., I've worked for real estate lawyers for over a decade and we've seen this happen. I would call Elliott & Associates, unfortunately I don't have their phone or city but they pretty much handle Chicagoland. A few years back I remember it being around $1100. Good luck!

From there click on List of Licensed Mitigation Professionals. Make sure you call two or three companies.
We used Elliott & Associates twiced for our old and new house. I was pleased with them. We live in Wheaton.
