I'm looking for a place where you can choose a ceramic/pottery item to paint. Then you leave it there for the people to fire in teh Kiln. I did this once when I was younger and I thought it would be nice to do with my children. I live in the Pottstown area. Anyone know of a place?

The only place I know of is in West Chester. It's called the Painted Plate. The have a wide selection of pottery to choose from and it takes about a week for them to fire it. I recommend there, if you don't mind driving to West Chester. If I remember correctly, it's on Market St.

If you're looking for something a little closer to home, there is the Artist In Me in Royersford (on Main Street) as wells a Betty Jo's Ceramic Studio on (E Cedarville Rd in Pottstown). I personally have taken my son to Color Me Mine in Wayne and it was lots of fun. Color Me Mine will run specials so you may want to check their website.

We go to "Color Me Mine". I just checked their website, and it looks like the closest locations are Montgomeryville and Wayne. We usually go to the one in Montgomeryville. Good luck, and HAVE FUN!!!

I have done things at United Sports in Dowingtown/thorndale. Indside their complex is a place called The Pottery Place ( I think) but we did a brownie activity with them and it was great. You can check it out on united sports website (www.go2ustc.com) I believe it is on there, or contact me and I can find the info in my brownie stuff. HOpe that helps.

I pass by The Artist in Me on Main Street in Royersford everyday and so want to get in there. I called a few months ago for their hours and they just didn't work with mine. Hopefully I'll try sometime this summer. (Phone number: ###-###-####)
