My mom's double broiler finally bit the dust this week. It was from the original set of pans she got when got married almost 40 yrs ago. She wants to replace it with one made in the US...which is surprisingly hard to find! Does anyone know of a reasonably priced company making pots and pans in the usa? Or just not made in China? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I use All-Clad and love them. I use the highest end product they have...all stainless...They are not cheap by any means. My smallest pan was about $120 but well worth the money.

I agree with your mom...USA, all the way. All Clad is still made in the US. There are few items, like electric skillets that arent. Le Creuset's enamel is made in France but I'm afraid their very attractive stainless line is made in China. www.manpans.com is American made but may be pricey. I'm holding out for waterless, stainless cookware that I will have to pay for with my left arm. There are several lines I would be happy with. Costco has two sets (10 to 13 pieces) that are stainless. One is made in Brazil, one in Thailand. Both are about $180.00.

Hope this helps!

All-Clad pans are made in the USA. They're not cheap, but they are so wonderful and will last forever.

I don't know if you'll consider them reasonably priced, but they do make excellent cookware that will last forever -All Clad. I believe it's made in Pennsylvania. I have two sets of it, and I love it!

Another, cheaper brand that I'm not sure is still in existence is Revere Ware. They do make a good product, but I'm not sure the company is still around or if it is, if it's still made in the USA, but you could check.

I am madly in love with Le Creuset. It's made in France (except for the stoneware -it's made in Thailand). They are evidently coming out with a stainless line, but I don't know where it will be made.

I LOVE my pots & pans. They are made by Revereware. My grandparents got some of the first sets back when their patent was still pending. 50 or so years later, they STILL have the same pots & pans. I loved them so much I bought a set for myslef. I believe I paid less than $100 for the entire set. I have had mine for 6 years and still love them. They are stainless steel with copper bottoms. Everywhere I have looked have said they are made & operated from the USA. One plant in Illinois & one in California. They are a fantastic deal for the dough. Good luck whatever brand you choose!
