PLEASE PLEASE Give Me Anniversary Ideas

I really appreciate the three ideas I got for my 15th anniversary, but we can't do Frankenmuth (3 hour round trip driving is too far to leave the kids with a babysitter - we have no family here). And, we can't do an at home romantic thing because of our kids. The Jersey Boys is a good idea, but any others? I REALLY would appreciate some help here, because I really am unfamiliar with what to do in the Detroit/Macomb county area. Even just some recommendations of romantic restaraunts would help.
Thanks again,

A.

So What Happened?

We took the advice of someone who responded and went to Ruth's Chris for dinner. Wow. A great place, great atmosphere and service, and amazing food. We had a great time. Thanks for the advice. By the way, we are going to try the Melting Pot for a date night since so many of you recommended that.

Check out Andiamo restaurants. They have one on the Lakefront in St. Clair Shores which is very nice and romantic or try their Warren location which has celebrity shows. They also have several others in the Metro Detroit area. Google up Andiamo restaurants Detroit and check out their website, maybe that is something that you might like to do. The only other suggestion I would have is to maybe rent a room at a nice hotel with a jacuzzi and order room service. If I think of any others, I'll post again.

My husband and I always go to a "special" dinner for our anniversary, we actually go to some place neither of us have ever tried each year.

For romantic, I would would recommend the Melting Pot (in Troy or Novi). It is a leisurely meal and they do special things for celebrations. We also love Ruth's Chris in Troy.

I would second the poster who suggested The Melting Pot. It's a fun dinner experience and I've found that my husband and I really have fun conversations while cooking our food together. The prices can range from pretty affordable to a bit more expensive (for the meals for 2 that includes appetizer fondue and dessert fondue). If you do all 3 courses, it can be a longer meal (close to 2-3 hours) so it's nice because you have some extra time together but can still leave the kids with a babysitter.

The casinos downtown also have some really nice, romantic restaurants.

Congratulations on (almost) 15 years together!
