Picking Flowers

I started PMing people but there are just too many!!

When you have a mess of flowers to pick, right click on each of the flowers and open in a new tab. After you have all the tabs open you start closing duplicates. By the time you are done closing the duplicates all pages have loaded in spite of those friggin adverts!

Read, close, all flowers gone. :)

Does anyone else know clever ways to make this platform work?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I discovered this on my work machine that does not block the ads. All of my computers block the ads.

Oh my god Ephie, that is brilliant!!!

I never see advertisements here. I guess my computer blocks them...??

Oh, and I've been right clicking into new tabs for a long time now. I can't take the credit. My husband suggested it, after seeing my annoyance.

Oh I have a good one.

Okay, you know how you can't go through the list of your questions or answers except by one (grueling slow) page at a time?

Now you can :-)

Go to your Public Profile page. Click on Your Name's Answers.

Here's what mine looks like in the address bar:
http://www.mamapedia.com/public_profile/53981836383639306...

Now check it out. If I go to the next page of answers it looks like this:
http://www.mamapedia.com/public_profile/53981836383639306...

What's my point? Look at the end of that address! See that bit that says: page=2

Well now, you can replace the number 2 with any ol' page number you like and it will direct you strait to that page. So, for example, page=75 flips me back several months.

This also works for the inbox and questions pages.

I keep all my flowers.

Reminds me that a few people like what I say. Or I made them laugh.

Geez - I hope they aren't laughing at the serious posts and taking serious the funny posts....

J. and Bug - you can also press the Control button on your keyboard, hold it down while you click with your mouse on the link/flower - and it auto loads in a new tab. (i think right clicking brings down a menu?)

I never would of thought of that! I wish I could do that...my computer is really bad about opening new tabs, it insists everything is a popup, and won't let me open it even when I click allow popups.

Hmmm...gonna have to get around to trying this VERY soon. I have over 50,000 PMs and flowers in my inbox! It's always been WAY too daunting to tackle!

I just click on them really fast. The first part of the post title shows on the tab and that marks them as "read". That way I know what I got flowers for and don't have a bunch of tabs to close. :)

I try and clean out my flowers daily. I know it can be time consuming.

what gets me is when I get like 20 flowers for something and the post is gone!!! That irks me!!
