Thanks for the input on these dr.'s. I think we are going to try Dr. Day for my daughter's next well child visit in a couple of months.

I know you've already said you were going to see Dr. Day but I thought I'd add that I really like him too.

I saw Dr. Harris first and DID NOT LIKE HER OR HER OFFICE. Too many things to list why.

I switched to Dr. Day before my son's 2 week appt and haven't looked back since. His nurses are also very nice too.

Hi!
I take my girls (ages 2 1/2 and 17 months) to Dr. Day. He's been their pediatrician since they were born. We LOVE him!! Everyone is great at the office, they're very quick to return phone calls when you need advice about symptoms and whether you should bring in your child. My oldest has also seen Dr. David Goff when Dr. Day is out of town and we liked him just as much. I really don't think you can go wrong with anyone in that practice. Good luck!

Love Love Love Dr. David Goff. The office can be a little crazy, but we always get in within 5-15 minutes. We have been with them for 4 years. My second son was a colic baby and Dr. Goff was amazing with us. He was willing to try anything and was very comforting. It is a 4 person practice (Dr. David Goff, Dr. Karen Goff, Dr. Susan Torrie and Dr. Day). The Goff's have twins and another son, so the wife doesn't work as many hours. I've also hear great things about Dr. Day. We've gotten him several times and he is super casual. Good luck! I don't think you can go wrong with this practice.

It looks like you've already made a decision, but I just wanted to add how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Drs. David and Karen Goff. We have seen them for 4 years now, and have so much trust in them. They are GREAT!!! We have also seen Dr. Day when the boys have been sick, and we liked him also. This group is great... can't say enough good things.

They are all fabulous. My children saw them for the 8 years we lived in Denton. I couldn't recommend anyone better. My 3 girls always felt comfortable and relaxed in their care. They are open and honest with the kiddos when they see them; especially if a procedure needs to be done. You cannot go wrong with this group

I used the doctors at cook childrens and liked all of them. I have heard terrible things about Dr. Harris, so I would avoid her honestly. We had Dr. Karen Goff, and while I thought she was great, the wait was always just way too long. We switched to Dr. Amy Adams and could not be happier. While she is "by the book", she also had a great deal of trust for my opinion, and even understood why we wanted to wait to vaccinate my son until he was older. Best of luck in your search ~A.~

I have been looking too, and everyone I have talked to have said to avoid Dr Harris and the reason was always "personality conflict". I have heard great things about Amy Adams and her partner whose name has slipped my mind at the moment. Also work with 2 nurses who use the Goffs and love them. Another nurse I work with recommened Dr Echols.

I use Dr. Torrie and like her a lot. She is a very by the book dr. who expects you to follow the rules. Like get the kids off the bottle by 1, toss out the paci, no tv, etc. I liked her from the beginning when at my daughter's first visit, she cleaned her stethoscope with alcohol before touching it to my baby! My brother, a nurse, says he sees too many doctors go from patient to patient without ever cleaning it, yuck! I've also seen Dr. Day a couple of times and my SIL uses him; he is very down to earth and will tell it like it is. They are not the kind of doctors who are going to look at alternative vacc. schedules kindly from what I gather. I've only seen them for well check ups and a sinus infection. My daughter is 1 so I've also only been with them for a year. They do have a separate waiting room for well check ups so you don't have to have your kids around the sick kids and I've never had to wait long to see the doctor. Hope that helps.
