Anyone Use Dr. Rhonda McDowell in Corinth?

I can tell you from experience that having more than 1 doctor available has been very helpful during sick kid visits or other issues. I highly recommend our ped.

Dr. Amy Adams and Dr. Carrie Jones are in 1 practice located in the medical buildings right next to Presby Denton. Both doctors have been wonderful. The nurses are great too and I am never kept long in the waiting room. They have a sick kid time blocked out everyday from 8-830am so that has been convenient also. I beleive they also have Saturday hours but I can't remember what they are. We actually had her has our pediatrician for all of my kids. However having said that I have recently switched. The McDowell's are great people, however dr.'s?...They just seem to be a little preoccupied. They have 3 children under the age of 3 and are planning to have 2 more right away. My kids have seen both dr.'s and like I said they are great people. Their hours are short. I think they have squeezed us in before but it's not all the time that that happens. I stayed with them as long as I did because I loved the nurse and the girl who was up front. Both of those girls are gone, and the nurse now is ok, but not much personality when it comes to the kids personally. I decided that I needed to have a pediatrician's office that had more than 2 dr.'s in it. There hours at the McDowell's is 8:30 - 4:30, the dr.'s don't take their first appt.'s until 9 or 930, then they do lunch from 12-130, then closed at 430 so last appt. is 330. Not a whole lot of room in there. Again they are great people and I run into them all the time at Wal-Mart which will be awkward the next time, since myself, my husband, and 3 children do not go there anymore. (I told a fib of why we don't go there anymore because I felt bad)
So like I said they are great people I just don't see how in a couple of years she's going to be able to keep up with a private practice and have 4 or 5 small children.
Good Luck...we switched to Dr. Torrie in Denton, so we'll see how she is. I've heard great reviews about her office. So I'm anxious to see, we go next month for shots!!

I actually work in the dental office next to them. They are great people like the women earlier posted. I see Dr David Goff at Cook Children's off of Teasley. He has three other associates...Dr Day, Dr Torrie, and his wife, which works part time. He is wonderful. I have had experience with Dr Day and Dr Torrie. My sister's children see Dr Torrie but I think she may be switching to one of the other drs in the office. I am also not a big fam of Dr Torrie. My son had a dry patch on his head and the hair had fallen out in that area. I assumed it probably was a fungus so I took him in and Dr David was out and Dr Torrie did the exam. She diagnosed it as alopecia without doing any testing (they can test with black light and do a swab which would have taken all of 5 minutes) So a month or so went by and I had Dr David take a look...he tested with the light and swab and guess what...it was a fungus. So I personally think she is lazy! But you should try Dr Day or Dr David Goff (if he is taking new patients). Good luck. Sorry for the rambling.

I've used Dr McDowell since our son was 3 months old. I've been very pleased with her. She is a very kind and compassionate doctor and has 3 small children of her own so she definitely has first hand, recent knowledge of little ones. Her husband does a good job when she is out as well and they have had another pediatrician in the office since Rhonda was out on maternity leave with their third child.
She doesn't have the depth of experience as some would like but I have been pleased.
Their office is also very flexible with appts and have always tried to fit us in when needed.

Yes, My daughter has been seeing her for a few years, since she was released from Ped. Endocrinologist at Cooks in Ft Worth. She really likes her. Dtr is now 18 and will probably be switched to Dr. Adam soon. I use him and I think he's really good also. I would recommend either of them. I work for an Eye M.D. in Denton. C. L. of Corinth
