Looking for a pediatrician in Allen, Texas. I do NOT want to see the nurse practioners,, I want to see the doctor and want a doctor that does not make you feel rushed and answers all your questions and one that you can get a sick child in on the same day.
We also LOVE Raintree Pediatrics!!!! We were just there today. We have been seeing the Nurse Practioner since our usual doctor (who is a physician's assistant) has been out on maternity leave. My kiddos have been seen by Dr. Kim Smith, Dr. Cook, and Dr. Chad Smith. I highly recommend them!!
I love Raintree Pediatrics. I love the NP there and that's who we see, but they have great doctors. I've never had a problem getting a sick visit on the same day, most of the time I'm see within 2 hours of making the call. I saw Dr. Cook in the beginning and I never felt rushed, he answered all my questions and he didn't make me feel stupid when I asked questions that I'm sure he hears all day long. When I questioned the vaccination schedule, he said that he follows the APA, but will honor the requests of the parents and didn't strike me as judgmental about it. I've also heard great things about the other doctors at the practice as well. They also have Saturday hours, which are specific for sick visits and a 24 hour nurse line if you have any questions. We LOVE Piga Primary Care, however, they are in Frisco on Warren Parkway.
Dr. Naomi and Dr. Versallies..........both are fantastic, both take time with you and both are genuinely interested in you.
I am in West Allen, near Bethany/Alma and it rarely takes a full 15 minutes to get there. We've always been seen the day we called if we asked to see the Dr.
We are in Allen but drive to Richardson to see him. When my kids are sick they ask for him by name even my 2 year old! He is amazing we have been going to him for 15 years. I have never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes in the wait room and have never seen any more than 3 people waiting at a time. You will always see him when you go. Mondays he has a fill in but that is because he works some Saturdays.

My daughter is 12 and we've been seeing Dr. Frank Martinez since she was about 5 and he is great! I really like him and my daughter just loves him. They always get us in the same day when she is sick. Usually within a couple hours of calling.
