My youngest son needs to see a pediatric urologist. We will be getting a referral from our ped, but I wanted to get recommendations from other parents as well. Thanks!

So What Happened?

I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Clanton Harrison, but no one called me back... I left two messages with his answering service (approx 1 week apart and during business hours). Maybe he's not taking new patients since he's only working part time now?

Anyway, we now have an appointment with Dr. Ewalt for January 3rd. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations!

We have seen Dr. William Strand in Plano. He is awesome and did my son's surgery. My sister has used Dr. Baseman for her son. She can't say enough nice things about him either.

Hi J.,
We saw Dr. David Ewalt. He is really wonderful. My son had to have surgery and Dr. Ewalt performed it at Medical City Dallas. I would highly recommend him. Here is a website about Dr. Ewalt - http://www.urologyclinics.com/ewalt.html (you will have to copy/paste it). He has an office in Plano too. Good luck and God Bless,

M.

We have a wonderful one. Her name is Linda Baker. She has 2 offices. One in Grapevine and one near Medical City area. She is affiliated with Children's in FTW. Very nice and great with the kiddos. Her nurses are wonderful. If you can't find her, I may be able to find her #. We luckily haven't had to go in 6 months! Hopefully all our problems are gone.

I have not taken a child to him, but I used to work at the Children's Hospital in Dallas and Clanton Harrison was my favorite pediatric urologist. I've seen the other postings mentioning his name as well. You would be very happy with him.

Definitely Clanton Harrison. He truly is awesome! If you have not already tried to call to make an appointment with him or another doctor please note: Clanton Harrison is now working part-time. I'm not sure if this is only at the Plano location but because he is extremely popular you might want to call ASAP to make an appointment. I promise you will not be disappointed. Although he has only dealt with our family in regards to circumcisions (one surgical and the other two "regular"), I can't say enough "good" things about him. And from our most recent visit just a couple of weeks ago, neither can the nursing staff.

My twins were born early and spent time in the NICU at Presby Plano. They were pretty healthy but my son had some issues that needed to be dealt with by a Ped. Urologist. The Drs at the NICU referred us to Dr. Clanton Harrison, and when our Pediatrician found out that was who we were going he was thrilled and said "He's the best in town." He has been through 2 surgeries and several follow-up apt.s with our son, and we adore the man. He told us before the first surgery he would treat our son as if he were his own, and we really believe he did/does. We are also not overly religious people, but he said he would pray for Will prior to surgery and asked that if we were so inclined to do the same for him performing the surgery. We thought that was extremely cool. He's just a special doctor - I can't say enough good things. We see him at the Children's Hospital branch (Ambulatory Care Pavilion in Legacy) now, it's in Plano at Preston and Hedgcoxe - Super easy in and out. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck - I hope whoever you go with is wonderful!

Hello! My son needed hyrnia surgery when he was 2 years old and we had just moved to the area...that was over 2 years ago. Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Clanton Harrison. Everything went smoothly and he was very informative. I hope this helps. I believe his office was in Plano and the surgery was performed at the Children's Medical Center in Dallas. I hope this helps.
