Does anyone know anything about these pediatric dentists? Would you recommend any of them? I've looked at their websites, Dr. Lee and Dr. Diamond are in Los Alamitos area and Dr. Cortez is in Long Beach.

We love Dr. Diamond. My 2 boys, my niece and I are his patient. He is so calm with the kids (mine went to him when he was 3.) The staff is awesome as well. I recommend him anytime.

We LOVE Dr. Diamond and even I have been using him for all of my dental needs. My kids have been going there for several years and they have no problems with any fear of the dentist - just this last time they both had a cavity and my daughter was able to get it fixed without the novacaine. He talks you through it and is very calm and relaxed.
He even fixed one of my son's fillings for free that he had done a couple of years prior.
You can tell them J. Davis and family referred you. They know us very well with three of us going there! lol
My daughter saw Santos Cortez for her entire childhood - hated to leave him when she was just too old to keep going (18ish). She never hesitated or complained about going to the dentist and I always felt she was treated with the utmost care and respect.

Dr. Cortez is a wonderful, caring pediatric dentist. My son has been going to him for 12 years, since he fell on a push toy at 1 year old and knocked a tooth back up into his gums. The office is well run, and we have never had a problem there. Good luck,

WE like Dr. Cortez!!! many families in our area (long BEAch) use them.
My son goes to Dr. Dora Lee, very good experience, she is gentle, great staff. We actually began with Dr. Santos Cortez, had a very poor experience. Dr. Dora Lee replaced two spacers that Dr. Cortez had placed on our child that came loose about a month after. Dr. Cortez lacks the bed side manner needed to soothe small children in my opinion.
We actually saw another dentist(an Ortho actually) in Dr Cortez's office, but were nothing but pleased with every visit! Our friends have gone there for many years and loved them as well!
We LOVE Dr. Diamond. My son actually asks when he gets to visit again! The kids get to play age appropriate video games or watch movies during the exam/dental work.
We met Dr. Diamond when he came to Montessori Children's House in Cypress to acquaint the kids with oral health and have been seeing him for four years now. My husband has even started seeing him and swears he is the best ever. Me on the other hand, I am still scared of dentists after a really bad experience so I personally have not been his patient.
Bottom line, he has my son very interested in oral care and he LOVES going to the dentist. Strange for a seven year old but it all because of Dr. Diamond!

I am a dental hygienist in the area with 3 kids myself. Although my kids have gone wherever I am working, you will love taking your kids to a pediatric dentist. It can get a little pricey, but they are specialists and have a special place in their hearts for children...truely amazing people. I worked for a general dentist who referred to Dr. Dora Lee and all who went there were very happy. I have 2 personal friends who have also taken their kids to her and love it!! My aunt took her 2 kids to Dr. Cortez and have LOVED going to the dentist throughout their childhood. He is VERY well known in the dental world for pediatric dentistry. My only concern would be that I would think he is getting up there in years and may consider retiring soon...but that is just a thought, nothing that I know for a fact. I do not know of Dr. Diamond. I wish you and your family the best with all your dental needs!!

I don't know anything about Dr. Santos Cortez or Dr. Diamond, but my son goes to Dr. Dora Lee.
I highly recommend her. My son is 3 and we started taking him to see her when he was 2. Her staff as well as herself are great with the kids and the office is totally kid friendly. Even better, this last time my son went which was in March he was a bit scared this time and they let me sit in the chair with him and he sat on me. That helped out alot, he got his teeth cleaned and checked without problems.
Again, I highly recommend her and her staff.
