Sounds like you should go to the Petite department in the store. That is what I have to do. I am 5'2.5"
Good luck.

Yes I once had this problem too. Have you tried mens pants? Sounds odd but their jeans fit much better in the crouch area.
Good luck and great job losing the weight. How did you do that?

Try going to Fashion Bug. They have "right fit" pants and for less than $30 they measure your body and show you the pants that are perfect for your specific body type. They also make you look like you've lost 10lbs!!! They didn't have the right pants for my mother's body type so they ordered them and shipped them to her house at no additional charge.
Congratulations on the weight loss

It sounds to me like you're short-waisted, which means the distance from your belly button to your crotch is shorter than avarage. I would try lower-rise pants. I know that Eddie Bauer carries several different rises, so you might want to check there.

You might also want to check out the following website: http://www.missussmartypants.com/ She talks a lot about dressing for your body type.

Good luck, and congrats on losing the weight!

I am not sure what size you are in, but the petite section may be worth a visit...

Hi

I also have the same problem. Try Catherine's stores. They now sell jeans that are based on your shape. I am round, they also sell triangle and something else. I have been lucky. I am also 5'3" and the Petite sizes don't drag the ground!
Good Luck

Hey that's great that you lost 20 pounds!! Try the petite section, if you aren't already doing that and since you are skinny now, try the low or mid-rise jeans. You may need to shop the juniors section. If you are like me you are short waisted and the regular pants either sag at the crotch or the waist is up around your bra! LOL! I'm a shorty too. What I wouldn't give to be 5'3"!!

As a fashion designer and 5'1" myself, the petite section is where you want to be. But even that section can be funny sometimes with their fit even lane bryant. But they would be your best bet. I use a wonderful garment that help me lose weight and got back to my size after my kids (3). You can look it up on their site www.drop3sizes.com, the sales rep in charlotte was tara davis ###-###-####. And it works.
Good luck

First-CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Second, you should go to Old Navy or JCPenney and cruise all of the different cuts that they have. That may help you at least know what kind of cut will be good for you. maybe jeans that sit lower on the hips would get rid of that crotch pocket as I call it. I hate those, too! :)
Good Luck!!!

I am 4'10 and a size 8 waist. I have the same problem. I find that dress pants that are supposed to be low rise work very well for me. I am short waisted and they hit me (most of the time) where I like my normal pants to sit (across my belly button). I have bought a couple pair of this type of pant and they do not seem to sag inthe strattle. Other pants expecially if they are elastic waisted, I roll the waist down until the crotch does not sag.

I also had a hard time finding jeans to me. The only that I have found that fit me to a "T" is the Lee Classic Fit style jeans. Sears carries them in a short length as well. They are a little long on me with flats but work very well with heels.

Hope this helps.
