Online Pharmacy?

I Would be very careful about choosing an online pharmacy....make sure they have been in business for a while...make sure they are based in the US...(Foreign countries are not bound by the same rules and regulations that we are here in the US). I Work in a pharmacy as a clerk and I can tell you that I don't think there is any way that I would go to an online pharmacy and give up my local pharmacist who knows me, my family, the medications we take and cares about us.
So many pharmacies ( I work for Dillons, which is a part of the Kroger family..there are probably several stores of one of our partners near you) that have a $4 generic program...I understand that some pharmacies even have FREE antibiotics!!! They can also counsel with you about what generic substitutes might be available for the brand name meds that your dr. has prescribed for you. We have some customers who are on half a dozen or so medicines and all of them are on our $4 list...so they are getting each med for $4 a month.
I Would be most concerned about not getting what I was paying for through an online pharmacy. There are so many different manufacturers out there and you can't know what each one of them makes your med to look like.
I would strongly urge you to stay with your local pharmacy.

As others said, check with your ins company. We have Aetna and are REQUIRED to use their online/mail order pharmacy for any sort of maintenance meds (like for birth control, my migraine meds, etc)..stuff that comes regularly. Its actually wonderful and costs less as I get a 3 month supply but only pay for 2...a little bit of a PITA when I get a new med, but once its in the system, easy-peasy.

But other places like Walgreens do delivery services.....just check with your local places if thats what you need.

We have used both Walgreens & CVS Caremark. If you have insurance coverage for pharmaceuticals you might want to make a call to your carrier, as most insurance companies have a mail order pharmacy they work with.

If you are simply want your prescriptions shipped to you rather that having to pick them up, Walgreens will do that. You can set medications to auto refill every month as well as logging in and choosing to refill a medication as needed. Prescription are shipped for free.

Ive been using www.drugstore.com for many years now with no problem. They deliver pretty quickly and you get free shipping for all orders $25 or more. I totally trust them and will continue being their customer for years to come.
