Hello mamas! I was wondering if anyone out there could suggest a good supplement for Omega-3/DHA. I was giving my little guy, who is now 16 mos old, Horizons organic milk fortified with Omega-3/DHA, but it's pretty expensive ($4.50/half gal). I have recently switched to Trader Joe's organic milk which is much cheaper ($5.99/full gal). I want to keep him on the omega-3/DHA though, but I'm not sure where to start because there are sooooo many. He does eat fish at least once a week which he does receive this nutrition from some times. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Avocado is a good source for Omega-3. Good fruit and snack too. My kids love it.

"Animal Parade" makes good natural vitamins for kids....
you can find it at any natural food store. My kids like this brand. Even www.amazon.com has it too.

or you can always ask your Pediatrician.

Omegas/DHA is even good & beneficial for adults! I take it too.

Good luck,
Susan

The kids in my area are all crazy for Gudernoobs made by WooHoo Foods. The omega-3s come from walnuts and flax. It's not a supplement. It's actually a 100% all natural snack. The health food stores here (SW Florida) carry them and I'm pretty sure anyone out of state can just order them online. My toddler actually thinks it's candy!

Hi L., I can answer your question as I've studied many years about the importance of diet and nutrition for total health and wellness. I am also a healthy, fit mom of 3 healthy, busy and happy children ages 6, 4 and 20 mon. Three years ago a friend told me about WinOmeg3 Complex. This is the only Omega on the market that has over 85% pure EPA and DHA fatty essential oils- 3x the concentration of health food grade omega 3 fish oils. It's a little more than the bottles you buy at health food store, but you're purchasing a high quality grade fish oil- your whole family will notice a differnece in their health.

Anyway, I give it to all my kids and even puncture the capsule and pour it into my daighter's bottle. You can purchase this and other fabulous products at www.ewellnessgroup.com. The site also gives you all the information you need to know about each supplement. I hope this is helpful.
