I am new to the area and need a vet in the North Fort Worth/Saginaw/Keller area. I also am strapped for money - so I need a vet that isn't too expensive and doesn't do unncessary testing. I called one - but they are asking $55 just for the first exam! Please help! Thanks.

What can I do next?

Check the Pet Smart Stores in your area. My dog is on the insurance program through Banfield (Pet Smarts Vet Department) I pay a monthly pemium but all her shots and checkups are at no cost as well as teeth cleaning. Did you know that you can get your Vet to write you a prescription for some of your animals medication? As long as they have them in a people dose and type you can often save lots of money at Walmart instead of getting them at the vets office.

$55 for an exam is actually relatively cheap in this area.

We use the Rufe Snow Animal Clinic in North Richland Hills area.
He is very reasonable and very kind. He is an old-school vet and will not recommend unecessary (and costly) procedures for your animal.

His number is ###-###-####. Give him a call!
