I am looking to give my parents a book/journal they can fill out for my son on our family history and such. Anyone know of a good Grandparents journal book? I looked on Amazon and found several, just wondering if some are better then others....

What can I do next?

Hi S.. I bought books for all the grandparents after my first son was born, that was over 4 years ago. I bought them at Lamb's Bookstore, a Christian bookstore, in Greenfield. They are Thomas Kinkaid books. They have grandmother, grandfather, mother, father, and aunts. That's the one's I saw when I was there. I don't know if you have to go to a Christian bookstore or not to find them, but whenever I want to look for something, I check ebay. Hope you find what you are looking for!

S.,

I purchased Memories for My Grandchild for all 4 grandparents and we gave it to them as a gift when we told them that we were expecting. They all seemed to like it a lot. Here is a link to it at BAMM. http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/books?id=3936663584350&...

Good Luck,

I agree with the suggestion of To Our Children's Children.

Both of my grandfather's have passed away and my mom had them both fill them out. One died very suddenly and the other after a long battle after a stroke and they both filled them out when they were healthy and well.

Its a very, very cool thing to look at and read.

This is an excellent idea!

Hi S.,
I'm an Organizer for a Moms Meet-up group, and often get emails about books such as this. This guy Winston is in Indiana, I think he put together the business so that families could have a handwritten keepsake. Here is his website if you want to check it out: http://www.sanddunebooks.com/
Hope you find something you might like.

Hi S.,

I don't have a recent journal to recommend. My only advice is to be sure the grandparent(s) are interested in doing it, or be prepared to do it for them. This might not be an issue for you, but I bought both of my G'ma's journals which were hardly touched and passed one on to my mom who also didn't fill it out!
Now they are all gone and I wish I had bugged them or sat down and interviewed them to get the info.

Like I said, this advice is only if your situation is similar!

It's a great thing to do!

Barbara
