I am in search of a new peditriacian for my 15 month old son. However, I do have a few things that I require. I would like a seperate waiting room for sick and healthy kids and I also need a doctor that's willing to discuss our concerns! If anyone knows of a good peditrician that meets the criteria please let me know. I've been calling around all morning and I'm fed up with it. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We have been with Dr Jerri Abrams at Northwest Pediatrics on Bandera Road (in Leon Valley) for 7 years. This is a wonderful practice, with all female doctors. If your child is sick, they will get you in the same day. And yes...they do have separate waiting rooms, one for the sick children and another for the well visits. The rooms are across the hallway from each other, so they are well separated.

I would recommend Northwest Pediatrics to anyone who asks. They have about 6 pediatrics on staff. If Dr Abrams is not available that day, we usually see Dr Moreno. I have been very pleased with both Dr Abrams and Dr Moreno.

Hope this helps! You can call Northwest Pediatrics at 210/680-6000.

I love ABCD Pediatrics in Stone Oak (and another office in Schertz). I've always been able to get into Dr. Gonzalez on the same day I call, and she's awesome--will take all the time you need. My friends have gone to others and have liked them equally as much.

They have a sick side and well side, not totally separate rooms, but different sides with the office in the middle.

I think their website is abcdpediatrics.com
Good luck!

Northeast Pediatrics is the practice I use...they have two office locations and at least eight doctors. You can always get in to see a doctor same day, but might take 24 hours to see your specific doctor. The waiting area is two separate rooms for well and sick at both locations. Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Rodriguez are both really good. They have evening hours and weekend hours. I love them.

Kubena Pediatrics on Prue Rd
Dr. Kassia Kubena is onderful. She is very friendly and very informative for each visit. She remembers each patient as if they were her only patient. Remembers their names and each diagnosis she has ever treated them for. The nureses and office staff are execptional as well.
The office is separated into 2 sections: WEll Visits and Sick Visits..not separated by rooms, but on oppsite sides of office.
I 100% vouch for them...phone is ###-###-####

Dr. Kubena off Prue is very good. She had a sick side and a Good side. It is not seperated by rooms but they do ask you to sit away on the correct side. I have seen them go around cleaning everything several times I have been there. Also I always wash my sons hands when we get into room then leave it. But the best thing is to me it is one Doctor. There is no always seeing another doctor. She always remebers my son and what she has treated him for. The staff knows his name before they pull his chart. I love it.
