Mother Daughter Manicure

My daughter is 4 1/2 yrs. I always take Mother's Day off from work and her and I spend the day together doing something special. This year, I would like to try to find a place that both her and I can go to for a manicure/pedicure together. I would like to find a place that will be good with kids and patient with her if she is apprehensive about it at first, since she has never had anything like this done before, and she tends to be pretty shy. I know they have Girly Girlz and Arista Curlz that cater to young girls, but in this case, I am trying to find a place that we can both have it done together. Any suggestions would be appreciated !

What can I do next?

Hi C.,
I don't really see a 4 year old girl sitting still long enough to get a manicure/pedicure. I would wait until she's more like 10 years old for that. If you're looking for something for you and her to do together, then I would try something more outdoors to where she doesn't have to sit still for so long. Say for instance the ZOO, or a Museum. If you want to make it a weekend trip, try Disneyland. It's only 5 1/2 hours away from AZ. :-) That's always fun for the whole family. Or, you can take her out to a special restaurant with you. If you're really looking forward to getting a manicure/pedicure, make it a girls night, just the two of you, and let her paint your toes and fingers, and then you paint hers. Then do each others hair. That might be more fun than going to a professional salon. Just some ideas for you to think about. :-) You have a few months to decide. :-) I hope this helps. Best wishes, G.

What a fun idea! I'm sure she will love it. My daughters love getting their nails done. I know that Nail Depot at 59th Ave & Beardsley and 67th Ave & Beardsley can do it. I ask one time and they have special pricing for kids. If you think she won't sit for the entire pedicure, they can do a mini one. Don't forget to take your camera.
Have fun!

Hi C.!

My daughter is 4 years old and she loves getting her nails done! I think if your daughter wants to get her nails done she will sit still. Try going to Nail Depot at 59th Avenue and the 101, next to the Home Depot. They always have little girls there getting their nails done with their mommies. Make sure you call ahead and make an appointment, because they do get busy. Ask for Kevin, he does a great job! Here's their address and phone number:

Pointe South Mountain has a cute package for little girls. Here is the brochure pdf

It is the pretty princess one. It looks like there is a age minimum, but maybe they make exceptions.

Anyhow hope this works
