Hello i am 26 years old and i will be moving to Mission Bend in Houston Texas in about two weeks. I am from california i have a three year old and a six year old they are both girls and i want to know if there is any kind of entartainment for kids. I know in california everything is arround the corner i am going to feel lost once i make the move to texas. Also if you know of andy type of entartaining for parents and adults let me know thank you.

I moved from NY a year ago and I am still looking. All I could do so far is the children's museum, the zoo, and the downtown aquarium.. I hope some of the other answers will be more encouraging.

Trust me, you will be fine. There are many directories and parent magazines that will keep you a breast of all the lastest happenings in and around the Houston area. We live in Katy, which is about 15 mins from Mission Bend (my parents live in Mission Bend) and Katy alone always have many free activites and events for the whole family. If you haven't already click on the lind cool things to do this summer and you'll fidn a list of things. Do you have family here in Houston? Well, Mission Bend is just north of Sugar Land, and there is a ton to do in Sugar Land. Just be careful up there, I have heard that Mission Bend isn't the best area! Good luck!!!

I also live in Mission Bend. I am 32 with a 15 year old step daughter, 10 year old step son, 3 year old son and 19 month old daughter. There is a community pool within walking distance of our house. Hi A.. Don't know exactly what CA is like, but I recently moved to Houston, and it has more than enough to keep the little ones busy. They have so many kid oriented places to eat(new place called ITZ even has bowling alleys, games and carnival rides), and indoor inflatable playgrounds, pools, aquarium, zoo etc. I am not sure where Mission Bend is, but if you join a local mom's group, they will give you great ideas, and a good website to try is GoCityKids.com/houston.
