We want her first name to be ryli and we were thinking her middle name can be ann after my moms middle name but we are not, sure any suggestions?

Congratulations on the pregnancy.

I think Ryli Ann is lovely. Of course we were very creative with our daughter's name. She's Emily Danger.

You could try to get creative to combine ann with another name - maybe your husband's moms name. Like AnnMarie if her name was Marie for instance.

Ryli Ann sound nice. I'm a little confused about what you're asking. For our son, we chose my deceased grandfather's first name (we're Jewish, so using names of living relatives is not okay) because I was very close to him and I very much respect the way he lived his life. I'm not sure what else to tell you.

ryli ann sounds nice but there are so many more names out there. i would try to think of something more interesting. i feel like ann is a pretty common name. then again, if it is your mom's middle name you may want to pay tribute to her which in that case it makes sense. just an thought :)

I chose to not use family names in order to prevent hurt feelings. However, my husband's family is from Hawaii, so we went with a Hawaiian name for our middle name. If we would have had a girl, I was going to use both my mom's and his mom's middle names and combine them to be Leiana (His mom's middle name is Lee and My mom's is Ann, Lee in Hawaiian is Lei and Ann is ana). My son's middle name is Alaka'i (Ala kah ee) which is hawaiian for Leader and in English translates to Duke which was my husband's nickname growing up. Have fun with it, I know I did.

Ryli Ann is a very nice name too, I like the spelling, it is very different. Congratulations!

Hi L.,
I come from a very Southern family, so using family names is commonplace for us. I gave my older daughter my maiden name as a middle name, and my younger daughter my mother's maiden name as her middle name. I think it's a lovely way for girls to carry on the family name! I am sure your mother will be honored by your choice of a middle name (though you should check with her first to be sure - I was going to name our younger daughter after my maternal grandmother, only to find out that my grandmother hates her first name and always has! She forbid us to use her first name, hence we used her last name. She was tickled pink that we decided to name our child after her though.)
