Low Cost Daycare Needed

I know of a good place in Tampa, but it charges $145/week. The director is really nice, so I can ask if she would be willing to accept less. My newborn attended there when she was under 12 months of age. Now she goes to my older childs daycare. I know it's really difficult to find places, but don't forget that you can negotiate w/ the owners. The economy is tough and they need business too. Honestly, i don't think you will find one. you could try the churches. some of them have daycare and the costs are usually much lower. good luck!

I really like my infant's daycare, but they charge $175/week. Kathleen had a good idea with the churches and it would be great if Rita's contact would allow you to pay $125 instead of $145. But if none of the above ideas pan out, would it be possible for you to reduce your work hours (and, therefore, salary) just a little? That way, you could qualify for assistance AND spend a few more hours a week with your baby. I'm not sure if it would even out for you or if it's something you could do, but it's just a thought.
