I am looking at getting my little girl who is 3 1/2 into dance lessons starting in the fall. I have found several dance studios on the internet and received information from some of them, but I would like to hear from moms who have personal recommendations. I am looking for a studio that is in midtown or between Dodge Street and south to L street just for convenience-sake.
My daughter has been with her dance teacher for 5 years. She opened up her own studio 4 years ago at On Pointe Dance Centre on 120th and Blondo and we love it. They have there recitals at the Joslyn art museum and she does a great job. They have all different dances and is very reasonable in price. I HIGHLY suggest checking it out.

The other one is Jill Sailors, and her webpage is www.blairdancecenter.com. I haven't been to any of their recitals personally but I've heard that they both do an awesome job. My daughter began dance at age 3 and is now 9 and on a competition dance team which she really enjoys. We are currently at The Next Step Dancing with Maren, which is a smaller, family-oriented studio than where we had been for the past six years. As a matter of fact, Maren used to be the Director of Dance where we previously danced. I highly recommend Miss Maren and her studio as being very flexible and working exceptionally well with her students. My daughter has really excelled there and I appreciate the friendly atmosphere.
