I absolutely LOVE my OB/Gyn: Christine Thompson. She is warm, gentle, sensible, and very thorough.

She practices at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates at 133 Brookline Ave, Boston. Her office is right next to the Green line "Fenway" stop, so that may be convenient for you. Office phone is ###-###-####. I like the staff in her office too.

Good luck!

Hello A.,
I have been visiting a doctor at 1 Brookline Place. There are very nice. Organized and on time. It's on a D green line to Brookline Village. From there it's 2 min walk.
I just got pregnant, 11 weeks.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (OBGYN) is a nice practice , and one good perk your Baby will be a Red sox baby and also will receive a tour, I though that was nice.

I have been going to Commonwealth Ob-Gyn for several years which is located at One Brookline Place, Suite 305. They are right in Brookline. I have been very pleased and happy with the NP and MD's that I have seen there. The phone # is ###-###-####. Check them out!

I have the best OBGYN! His name is Dr. Brien Daly. He is at Weston OB/GYN in Weston. The office number is ###-###-####. Not only have some of my friends had great expirences, but my own personal one as well. He is so comforting and understanding with any complications that may come up, personal issues you may have, or any medical preferences. The whole office staff and nurses are great too. My personal expirence was that when I went in for my 3 month ultrasound, we were told the baby had died. Not more than 5 minutes after I was told, Dr. Daly was on the phone, reviewing the pictures that were just sent over to him. His kindness and concern really helped at that moment. He told me what to do over the weekend, and made sure he stayed on call at the hospital all day on that Monday to come in and personally do the DNC. I was checked in at 10 am and was only brought down to the OR at 6 pm. I was told he called every hour to check when I was scheduled to go to the OR. When I saw him in the OR, his warmth was very calming. And his respect of my choice to not receive a blood transfusion if there were any complications really gave me peace of mind and confidance. He was prepared with plenty of other options that work just as well if not better. The office operates out of Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton. I have been very happy there as well. His wife also works in the practice and she is wonderful as well. I hope this is helpful and not to long to read! I just can't say enough, nor my friends who are patients there.

Dear A.,

I got a ton of responses on a similar question- I am pregnant and wanted to know info on Brigham and Women's hospital compared to Mount Auburn hospital.. I think you can access my question and read the responses, there are 19 of them and very interesting. I'm not really sure of recs for a OB GYN since I have Harvard University Health Insurance. I have Dr. David C. Olson, and he's awesome, but I'm not sure if you can get him if you are not in the Harvard system. It's worth looking into though!

Best of luck!

Hi A. - All of the doctors at New England ObGyn at One Brookline Place are wonderful! I see Dr. Bunnell but she might be completely booked (that's how good she is). They are affiliated with Brigham and Women's which is one of the best hospitals to give birth in....Beth Israel is also very good. Best of luck to you and your soon-to-be family.

I agree with a previous reply- New Endland OB/GYN Assoc. in Brooklline is great (right off route 9). I have been going to one of the Dr.s for about 8 years now and love her! And as I had a baby within the past year, I met the whole group and would have been happy to have any of them deliver my baby. They are affiliated with BWH- I delivered there and thought the place was great- would definitely go again.

My son was born at Brigham and Women's in Sept of '04. I loved the hospital and had a wonderful birthing experience there. I had a complicated pregnancy and was admited there several times so we had a lot of chances to feel the place out.

I used New England Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates
One Brookline Place, Suite 522
Brookline, MA 02445

It is located near the green line, so my husband was able to meet me for all my appointments which was a nice perk.

When I was there it was a small practice of several women and one man. Dr. Marikim Bunnell was my primary doctor. Dr. Vivian Hernadez delivered my son. Both were great.

Dr Poley - at the Caritas Medical Group in Brighton. Her office is right at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. ###-###-####. I've been going there for about 7 years and just had my first baby. I got the best attention there. I had a high risk pregnancy and Dr Poley found this out early on @ 2 months. She was great all the way through the pregnancy and delivered my son. And St E's was a great hospital, private rooms, and is one of the high risk hospitals in the Boston area. Good Luck!
