How about a custom labeled bottle of wine? You can put your wedding photo on it, and your own personal message. You can also get it with special stems to toast the memorable occasion. You can find that and many wine gifts at www.TasteYourWineAtHome.com You can also set up your own private wine tasting to have with your hubby and close friends. It is a unique, fun, inexpensive couples night.

Here is one of the best ideas ever....make him a small scrapbook album with his photo and some of your pictures together.

Respect Album for Husbands - this is SO GREAT!!!!
(Idea developed and submitted by Cathy Miller) In the book Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs, he talks about how a man's love language comes in the form of respect and a women's love language comes in the form of love. In the course of my study of this book I was encouraged to make my husband a small "respect album."

These were some of the following themes for each page...that were accompanied by pictures:
I respect your desire to be a great father.
I respect the way you made our family a priority in your life
I respect you for the way you have always sought to actively love your parents and mine.
I respect the way you are willing to be the source of our humor as well as the promoter of other's enjoyment of humor.
I respect the way you so selflessly seek to guide and direct others in their walk with God.
I respect the way you see the importance of family traditions and were so willing to allow me to be creative in our family celebrations.
I respect you for seeking to always broaden your mind through reading books and inspiring our children to do the same thing.
I respect you for being willing to go to work each day.
I respect the way you sought to make our house a home through all your home improvement projects you've done for me.
I respect so much your servant heart
The book included more specific stories, Scripture verses, and quotes.
I ended the book with the theme verse for our marriage: Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:3
If I can help you in any way, on the "how-tos" of doing it, I would be honored to.

What about a weekend trip to Fredricksburg? It's such a neat town with beautiful B&Bs and some lakeside cabins as well -- beautiful as well! There is lots of antique & boutique shopping, nature trails, a winery (I think), & it's really close to the infamous Lukenbach (sp?)!

The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine is great if you want to do something close to home. We just spent the weekend there...did some shopping in downtown Grapevine, Grapevine Mills and went to the movies. Inside the Gaylord they have nice places to eat and places to sit and relax.

Get away for a few days (or the weekend)! My husband and I love to go to this wonderful hideaway in Dixon, NM - in between Santa Fe and Taos. It takes about 5 hours to drive there from Amarillo. It is a guest house on the Embudo River, equipped with an awesome jacuzzi tub for 2, heated saltillo tile and full kitchen. You can hear the river running even at night with the doors closed - SO relaxing. There are a few places close to go wine tasting, plenty of hiking trails, white water rafting and it's always fun to go into Santa Fe or Taos. I highly recommend eating breakfast at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe or Michael's Bakery in Taos. Anyway, my husband proposed to me here and we love to visit. It's inexpensive and a very relaxing place to be. The website is www.vrbo.com/45350
