Hi S.,
Sorry this is a little late...I just had my baby at Baylor Irving and it was a good experience (even though I had to have a c-section). Everyone was wonderful and I felt that me and my baby received excellent care. My doctor is Peter Sakovich. His office is down from the hospital. His number is ###-###-####.
I hope this helps!

I use Dr Peter Sakovich - I LOVE HIM - HE has awesome bedside manners, very personable. I never thought I would feel comfortable with a male Dr., but after a horrible accident with my first Dr, I was sent to Dr Sak, and he really took care of me and my little, and yes he even took care of my hubby in delivery. I had my little one at Baylor Irving, what a GREAT hospital!!!!!!###-###-####

Hi S.,
I'm not sure what's motivating you to deliver at Baylor Irving, and I'm sure you have good reasons, such as proximity to where you live, etc. But I do have some differing info to share with you anyway that you can take or leave as you see fit...

I had my first baby 10 months ago and, while I was still just thinking of starting to conceive, I researched hospitals and doctors in the DFW area.

I was in the process of changing GYNs anyway, so I thought I'd take advantage and get ahead of the game. I was also in my late 30s, so I wanted to make sure that I'd be in a facility that was known as the best re: handling complications from high-risk pregnancies (just in case!).

In doing my research, I learned that Plano Presbyterian (DN Tollway and Parker) had the best Neonatal ICU in the area and was also very well-known for its high-quality customer care (their nurses are great!). Plus, they have 100% private rooms, which meant that my HMO, which covers semi-private only, when available, would cover more. Their labor and delivery rooms (LDRs) are amazing, too...you'd think you were at home if it wasn't for the equipment!

So, I picked the hospital first and then looked for doctors that matched with my Aetna insurance and delivered at Plano Presby. I interviewed a few doctors and, after a person reference from a colleague, Dr. Briant Herzog was my choice ###-###-####. He is very laid back, patient and has a good sense of humor, which really helps when it's your first time (and you've had a miscarriage or two). I can't imagin having anything other than laid-back when in the middle of delivering a baby...helps to offset some of your own feelings of anxiety.

I know Plano Presbyterian is a long drive (I live in Irving, too, although far north Irving), but it was so worth it to have such a great labor and delivery experience.

Well, that's my two cents. As you can see, I'm very sold on it and, as a result, have written a novel!

Good luck to you with wherever and whomever you choose!!

Hands down I HAVE to recommend Dr. Maxey. Someone mentioned Dr. Vialba(sp?) He's in her office too....He is SO super funny! And makes you feel comfortable. I was such a worried pregnant woman and it never got on his nerves. He listened to my every last worry and gave me a solution for it. When I had my c-section I wasn't scared. I was actually laughing and talking with him making jokes with him!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM! If it weren't taxing on my body and my budget I'd have another baby JUST to have Dr. Maxey!

PS I do want more children just not right now. And I made Dr. Maxey PROMISE he'd stay in practice long enough deliver the next one!

I did NOT like Dr. Carmichael. She was nice, but seemed too busy for me...I had a lot of questions for her and she didn't have time to listen. When I was 6-8 weeks pregnant I had a fever and was spotting. I called her and she NEVER called me back. EVER! ....I called the after hours line that night and Dr. Maxey actually called me back...He made the spotting stop and delivered my beautiful baby boy!

I go to Dr. Natour
Go to http://www.baylorhealth.com to look up her info and
other DR.s
I am not sure how old she is but she is a young doctor maybe in her early 30's but has a lot of experience. She and her staff are very friendly and easy to talk, i never felt rushed, she takes her work seriously and I never had to wait on them in the waiting room. Even though she is my DR. i felt i could talk to her like a friend. She did deliver my first baby (now 6 mo.) and she litened to what I wanted to do and did not pressure me.

I love, love, love Dr Peters! I have been seeing him for 12 years and he has delivered both my girls at Baylor Irving. He is so relaxed and honest. He is not uptight and listens to you. So you are part of your care. His staff is wonderful. They usually are there to answer calls immediately and if not, they return your call asap. Dr Peters will call you back , too if you prefer to talk to him OR if he would rather talk to you instead relying on his nurses to get his message to you. I can't say enough about Dr Peters and his staff. His partner is Dr. Berzinskas (female) and she is just wonderful too. They both have the same philosophies in care and her staff is just as wonderful. I think you would be comfortable with either one and they both deliver at Baylor. ###-###-####

Any of the doctors at MacArthur Ob/Gyn are wonderful. There is one female physician Dr. Colette Dominique and three male physicians Dr. Jeff Livingston, Dr. Elia Fanous and Dr. Peter Sakovich. They have a new office accross the street from MacArthur High School. They also have a website if you want to check them out at www.macobgyn.com. Good luck in your search!!

My Dr is wonderful; her name is Dr Veronica Villalba, but she is associated with Las Colinas Medical Center in Irving. She's a mom herself (maybe with 5 or 6 kids) so she's had tons of experience being pregnant and very understanding to whatever we might be going thru.

S.,

Hello! My Dr. is awesome. He's been practicing medicine for about 15 years. He has delivered both my children and I've had very complicated pregancies. He name is James P Herd and he's located at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth. He doesn't deliver at Baylor but the wealth of knowledge and bed side manners might be of interest to you. He's bed side manners and warmth will blow you away.

Hi S.,
I just had my baby @ Baylor Irving at the end of November and my Dr. was George Theilen III right behind the hospital on Lane St. He was great! I was really small throughout my entire pregnancy and the specialist I was seeing was worried my baby wasn't growing adequately but Dr. Theilen made me feel so much better about everything. He really kept me calm. He continued to reassure me that my baby was probably just going to be small but healthy and he was! 5lbs 9z born at 39 weeks! The only thing is that Dr.Theilen is very old school and will only do 1 sono the entire pregnancy so if you want lots of pictures he is not your guy.
