Hi A.,

My children are not in daycare right now but when I was looking - here is something I got from my friend:

"Stepping Stone -- M/W/F -- kids like it -- long day for my kids -- 7:30am-6:00pm. Benjamin went there for a little over a year when he was 18 to 2 as well. We are happy with it. It is a daycare -- lots of kids -- but it gets high ratings with parents in the Austin area -- strong curriculum and lots of activities -- I am pleased with Benjamin's pre-K class. But it is not the same as being coddled to as in mother's day out. You will need to check into availability."

I've heard lots of good things about that one (Stepping Stone) and Primrose, though I don't have first hand experience.

Good luck to you!
K.

My girls Loved being in Prim Rose off of Forest Creek in Round Rock. Also There is the Acorn Academy off of Sam bass road. it is very similar to the Prim rose school program. Lots of good things from a good friend that had her son at Acorn Academy. FYI: I stay clear from la pettiest off of Gattis and green lawn, not so good personal experience with them.

Hi A.,

Did you get a response to your posting? We are moving to the area in late summer and wondered if you found good daycare and have some suggestions. My sons are 3 months and 21 months old.

I agree with Lisa. La Petite is not so great. I started my kids out there when I first started working in March but after a couple of months they jacked the prices up more and I was having difficulty in potty training my daughter because of no help from them during the day. I ended up taking my kids out of there and they now attend a daycare called Giggles. It is a wonderful place and the Owner/Director is great. Her name is Heather Davis and you can call her at ###-###-####. It is really a great location.
