Hi J.!
Congratulations on the new baby!

Both my kids go to the Temple Beth Sholom preschool.

They can start as early as 15 months there.

It's a fabulous school, very caring, and very creative.

I most definitely recommend it.

Good luch!

I send my 23 month old to Primrose School in LWR and he really enjoys it. I have seen alot of growth in him since he began there 7 months ago.

J., my kids are in school in Venice and Nokomis (Grace UMC Preschool and European Academy of Early Education). We are willing to drive our kids to preschool (for my 3-year old) and pre-K (for my 5-year old) because we found them to be the BEST schools in the area and the drive is worth it for us. I visited and looked at Forty Carrots and Julie Rohr, which were both excellent, came with tons of recommendations from family and friends, and are both in Sarasota. Good luck with your search!

Heidi Dahlborg is a local midwife currently taking a break from midwifery to be at home with her daughter. She is starting a daycare in her home. Call her and see if it is your answer.

I believe Forty Carrots takes that age and they are one of the best in Sarasota, Prim Rose Academy is also great but not sure what age they start at

Hi,
I have a degree in Education with a minor in Early Child Development. I taught at Justin Lee Weisner Early Child Development Center(or Temple Beth Shalom)while my kids were preschool aged(nice tuition break). There are many non-Jewish teachers and children there. The educational methods are very progressive and child-centered.The preschool uses a "project approach" and lots of expressive arts.

Having an inside view, I wouldn't consider sending my 2 year old anywhere but there. The staff is excellent and highly qualified and your child will be happy and well prepared for Kindergarten.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
