Hi Kristy, here are some links for you to purchase a vacuum and other sounds cds. If you have an MP3 player and exterior speakers you can download the file off the internet as well. It's very simple.

Hi Kristy,
I have one of the video monitors, and when the camera is turned off, the TV will make the "white noise" babies seem to like....
Just a suggestion, it seems more practical than a hair dryer or other electronics.
Good Luck! I also read "happiest baby on the block" Swaddling really makes all the difference. My Leah wont take a pacifyer for long, but the swaddler blankets they sell at babies R us are terrific! I also just gave Leah colic tablets from walgreens and she went right to sleep. But she woke up 10 minutes later screaming...Oh the things I try to keep this girl quiet for a while....hopefully someday I can look back and laugh at how rediculous (and expensive) this circus has been....

I put a radio in my daughter's bedroom with the sound of static on low, and that seemed to work okay. More so for me, i found the swaddling and a binky helped the most. read "the happiest baby on the block" and you'll get some helpful tips. I combined that book with "Babywise" and finally got some relief and sleep and a very happy 3 1/2 month old! (She is now 21 months, and sleeps very well in her crib.

I have a vacuum sound effect on CD. This works great in surround sound. My husband downloaded it from somewhere on the internet. I can burn you a copy if you want. Email me if you are interested ... ____@____.com

Kristy-

I have a sound machine from Babies R Us. It has about 8-10 sounds you can choose from. I have been using it since my son was 1 month old and I keep it on for naps also. I believe that a constant loud noise is what a baby likes due to all the noise from the womb. I also use one in my room and I purchased it from Walmart.
