Does anyone know where to get or what those things are called that attach to light switches and have a stick coming down that allows little kids to turn on light switches by themselves. I know I've seen them at people's houses back in the day before I had kids of my own, but now I have no clue where to find them, and have never seen them in stores. Anyone know what I'm talking about. Thanks! J. (____@____.com)

Absolutely know what you're talking about we have 3 of them. They're called Kid Switch -One Step Ahead is the only place I've found them. Order one more than you think you'll need because you'll find you need one some day for some switch you never thought of - like the bathroom fan!

I wish I had asked this same question a couple years ago. I never could find one, so I gave up...now my youngest is close to being about to use the light switch.

Try looking on the internet under...Childrens light switch extentions or children's switchplate safety.

Here is a website that has animals on the handles of the extentions for not to expesive.

Hi J.:

Try either The Right Step or One Step Ahead. They are both catalogs that sell that kind of thing. I've seen what you are talking about in one of those catalogs just recently.

Good luck!

We got ours from Leaps and Bounds or whatever they call it. It did not fit our light switch. I thought we had the standard, but just wanted to let you know. There was too much of a gap when they pushed it up. It's hard to describe, but if it doesn't fit, send it back. We didn't and I wished we had. Luckily they weren't much.

Check One Step Ahead and/or Leaps And Bounds websites. I remember looking for these when my kids were little too and couldn't ever find them. My kids had fans with the pull strings, so I ended up putting a long pull on it so they could reach that instead.
