My Dad worked hard for us kids and worked on the weekends playing in a band. He took me fishing and hunting once. But I remember working in the garage on Volkswagon bugs body and motor repare, and rebuilding Or any car he could get his hands on. I remember he put a plow on our dune buggie.
And we worked on a doodlebug he got from his dad model T engine with olds pistons, chain driven and hydrolic steering you could plow a square spot with that thing,it was powerful for having weak rings.Used a old bus seat with seat belts ,funny thing was it still ran on a 6 volt battery. We would use a 12 volt charger to jump start it if needed, man that motor spun fast that way.But a great work horse...Altho to day we don't talk or spend any time together I do remember the times we had ,he is a great man and am glad to call DAD. As for me and my boy I always enjoyed playing catch rollerblading and building things.as of to day he is a young man and a great dad to his little girl, brings a tear to my eye.

both my dad and my husband would be: Bear.

Bear's are cute ( not that I'm saying my dad is cute but he is handsome), they like to play, they like to sleep, they protect, they do get mad, they provide for the cubs, they are a roll model and teach their young how to survive, they are curious, can be clumsy, they hunt, they fish and they are in their comfort zone while out in the wilderness and are not meant to be in towns.

Yes I would say a bear describes them both the best... even if it is the momma bear who does all of those things in nature ;)

Dad: GaDad. That needs explaining lol. My son calls my mom GaGa because he use to not be able to say Grandma and the name just stuck. So it made my Dad GaDad. My dad was not into the grandparent thing like my mom when my son was born (it made him feel to old lol) Now that my son is not a "baby blob" (not able to roughhouse with him) and is three he is getting a little more into it. Then when I had my daughter my mom calls me at the hospital the night after she was born and asks "did your dad see you last night.' I said no why? She told me that his screensaver was a pic of the new baby. I asked one of the nurse and I guess he stopped by at like 1AM when he got off work and went into the nursery and rocked her. Really getting into this whole Grandpa thing lol.
