Ok, everyone has different taste in music. So for FUN...
What genre of music or Specific artist/band can you just NOT stand.
The kind of music that just bugs the hell out of you??

For me:
over processed music. Everyone these days using technology to alter the voice, you don't even need actual talent to become a singer these days.
For bands: Nickelback drives me nuts.. I just can't stand their music lol

How bout you>?

What can I do next?

Rap. Seriously the worst thing ever. It's not music it's a dang machine creating beats and someone talking over that. And when they rap they always look constipated. I don't even consider it music it irks me that much.

Awww, I love Nickelback, along with broadway (it's funny when my man walks in on my listening to Original Cast Recordings while playing Call of Duty.)
On that note, I do not care for in ANY WAY Gangsta Rap ... some rap I do not mind ... I want to hear and understand what they are saying ... I like some of Eminem's raps and Kid Rock and a few others like Jay Z ... when I can understand the song in its entirety just from listening to it not having to research the lyrics. I also can not listen to Metal music that is based on screaming - I appreciate a well placed scream such as Lincoln Park's usage or Sevendust, but many other bands take it to an extreme that I can not handle. Oh and pretty much anything by Lady GaGa since the original artist's version is so much better.

I am with you techno music...I hate it.

I was joking with a neighbor about music and they were making fun of country so I told them.

"I don't give you funny looks when you drive by with your windows rattling with too much bass and your songs about slapping your bitches and taking their money. Why do you give me funny looks about rocking out to Jason Aldeans Country girl?" They just laughed.... sigh.

I cant stand rush, he sounds like a witch.

I also, like you, hate over processed music, auto tune is the invention of the devil. I always couldnt stand slowed down rap music (they call it "screwed music, in my city) just awful.I dont really like any rap, although i dont mind lauren hill or the beastie boys. I dont like that Kesha girl. When i first heard her music i thought it was a joke, literally, like a weird al joke.

Stereotypical spanish music with the electric piano and the same beat over and over and over again.

Rap, techno and heavy metal are strong contenders but hands down pop tartlets - Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc. etc. If you can't carry a tune in a bucket, please have the good sense to keep your mouth shut.

I dong know what it's called, mariachi or what, but my neighbors play it all the time, loud, and it's so annoying, their Mexican, so it's some kind of Hispanic music, from my house, it just sounds like.... Bump... Bump... Bump... Drives me crazy.
Never heard yodeling but I'm pretty sure it would annoy the hell outta me.

I hate alot of RAP.

Any that raps about sex abusing drugs and women and gangsta stuff I guess you could say.

I do like Kanye and akon....I realize they both rap about the things stated above...but I think some of their music is pretty cool.

I hate acid rock.....alot of 80's punk...The Clash....B52's Anything along those lines.

I grew up during the birth of Grunge...but I was a little young to really get into it...I cant stand Nirvana...Which always surprise's people seeing as I live in Washington....birth place of Grunge and Nirvana...soundgarden.....Pearl Jam...I just for some reason cant get into it.

I love Classical music, Jazz...Folk and Blue Grass.

I could listen to Tegan and Sarah, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and so many others along those lines day in and day out.

I am starting to like house music and alot of Electronica. It is very slowly growing on me.

Actually to all of yoy above haters of lady Gaga. Have you her sing aucstic? She does have a good voice. I don't understand why they autotune her or make her a freak. Her voice could stand alone. I'm not a big fan of hers.. I just don't understand why they ruin it with autotune. I hate autotune music with a Passion.... but I will listen to anything live... always good experiences.

I used to say that I hate rap...but, actually, Eminem does have a story to tell in a lot of his songs. Don't always agree with the profanity, but I do appreciate his words as a writer. Do I listen to him.....NO. On the other hand, Country's Colt Ford has made country rap a little bit more palatable. I occasionally listen to him.

Sooo that leaves head-banging, screaming metal mania....I cannot stand it! My 15yo & I were running music channels yesterday, & we both agreed that the metal was just annoying!

& since you've mentioned it, yes...over-processed music is annoying.

another peeve would be "thin" voices. Give me a voice that's deep, growly, & full of life! NO to Sting, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Robin Thicke, & many others. YES to Gary Morris (from the 80s-90s), Randy Houser, James Otto, John Mellencamp's early stuff, Chris Young, the lead singer for Avenged 7fold, Aaron Lewis from Staind, Carrie Underwood, & Wynonna's early stuff. I want to hear a voice full of life....

Most music that has come out after 1990 ... don't like rap, grunge and any of the overly dramatic singers out there (Mariah, Christina, etc. ... their voices are painfully screechy).

And don't get me started on how Alphaville's "Forever Young" was massacred in the remake ...

(P.S. Yes, I'm old.)

I hate Rap. My family talks about me all the time because I don't like it. I loved old school rap when rap first came out. When it turned Gangster I was done with it. I can not understand what is so great about Lady Gaga. She can not sing. Even though Beyonce is beautiful her voice isn't. I am not a fan. I also don't like Country or Heavy Metal.

I absolutely hate RAP, heavy metal and anything that uses the "F" word and/or demoralizes women. I don't understand why they have to even have songs like that. And now there are even women singing songs about how the pain of loving someone that hurts them feels so good. And I mean physical pain, not just emotional. No wonder the young kids are so messed up these days. As for the over-processed music - what's up with Brittany Spears' music? Do ANY of her songs ever have just her normal voice? Not that I like any of hers either, I was just wondering! You posted a good question!!

I love all genres of music. (literally, everything)

I take issue with lyrics, however.

((And hey...I used to THROW parties -techno- back when god was a boy and they were all underground. It was just the modern day version of swing... new dances constantly being invented and shared. It doesn't really matter the genre... whatever the current 'underground' music is -be it swing, rock, punk, techno... that's where the real innovative talent goes; both in making it and dancing to it. Underground music is FASCINATING in how vibrant and alive it is.))

But really; you'll find me listening to opera, symphony, country, blues, rap, rock, techno, swing... whatever. ALL flavors and subgenres.
