InStyler Rotating Hot Iron

Has anyone used the InStyler Rotating Hot Iron? I have seen the infomercials & am curious if any "real" people have used it, what type of hair you have & how well it worked for you. My hair is naturally curly & takes almost an hour to blow dry it straight, then another 30-45 min to use the flat iron on. Just to give you an idea on how curly my hair is....my hairdresser has used several types of hair straightener products on my hair & it barely took any curl out at all. I love styling my hair straight, but just don't have the time to do it a lot since it takes so long.

Thank you in advance

I have one myself and I have really thick curly hair as well. I prefer my flat iron to the InStyler actually. It made my hair way to frizzy and staticky when I was finished. I have had mine about a year and a half and maybe have used it 3 times. I dont recommend it. :(

OMG, I love my InStyler. I have curly hair too and blow drying was too much work. Then I used a Chi flat iron for a long time but I find the InStyler doesn't damage my hair as much because the round part is constantly moving. I also use a smoothing product first to protect my hair (right now I use an oil type one from Karastase- it's a little pricey but lasts forever). After I wash my hair, I let it air dry, then add the smoother and use the InStyler. I absolutely love what it does for my hair. My hair has never looked so good but I do believe using good/right products also helps whether curly or straight. BTW, my hair is curly but medium thickness, since not sure what yours is. The best flat iron I've have used was by DHE (sp?).

I bought one at Costco about 6 months ago and it works great, I have very think hair and it seems to do the trick for me. I only need to partially dry my hair and the Instyler does the rest. It works the best if you do your hair in sections but I think this is the same for all irons.

My stylist uses it. It's wonderful!! It has worked well on my hair. However, my hair is not naturally curly. My hair is straight. She has used it to add curls to my hair and also body. I have seen her use it to simply straighten out some peoples hair. Everyone loves the results.

I have thick curly hair but don't use tha product. I wash my hair at night, let it dry and use a flatiron in the morning. You can try washing it at night and putting it in a french braid, it will still be damp in the morning, but easier to style.

My hair is straight and fine. I had one for a while. My biggest issue with it was that I kept burning my fingers and head because there is no protective barrier on the barrel. Aside from that issue, I loved it.

My hair is semi thick and naturally curly.

I had the Instyler for a while. I didn't like it all that much. It was very loud and started smelling really hot. So, I got rid of it.
What I've found to work with my hair is putting Rusk Str8 on it and letting it air dry then straighten it with my remmington straightener. I love it.

Have you tried getting your hair relaxed?
My hair use to be extremely thick and curly until I got it relaxed. That might help as well.

Aww, why straighten your hair? Especially if it takes that long? Curly hair is PRETTY!
