My tomboy daughter has asked to get her hair "done" for her semi-formal dance. I don't want to spend more than $20. Do you mamas know of anyone good who will do it for that in the Chandler area (we are in South Chandler)?

to get an updo most places charge 35$ or more, to get it curled or styled will be a little cheaper though. if you can spend 35$ there is a fantastic sams on arizona ave/ ocotillo, they will probably just charge the 35$ unless her hair is really long. great talented stylists there. just an option 4 ya
How long is her hair and what is she wanting done. I do hair and one of the girls I work with is really good with updos but they start at 35

There is a place at Alma School and Guadalupe in the SEC that is cosmetology school. We have taken our daughter (my step daughter) there in the past for prom and they did beautiful things at reasonable prices (less than $40). So, my suggestion is to call some cosmetology schools and see if they will take appointments for "practice." Everyone benefits!
