My one daughter is fashion, another is jewelry & cosmetics, another is health and wellness, and we are just a mixed up bunch but i would love a cute name to maybe start a little business with all 6 of us with our mix match ups in one stop spot . So What Happened?

Still Bouncing names around. I should have added earlier that I wanted to start this thru personal friends and set up a facebook group to get feedback before I actually commit to opening a full business.I want to start small to get feelers out there to see if it's worth doing, The one thing we have in common well at least me and my girls we are or were in Direct Sales and love coming up with different personal gift ideas for every occasion we can always find a reason or a little thing to give or do for someone. Our agreed idea is we would like to introduce a more personal "gift giving" say that we have ( this is where we cant agree what sounds best} for everybody for any reason on any budget. I don't know if this helped explain a little more on our idea or made it more confusing. I appreciate everyone 's input truly <3 <3

How about something like "Total Image". It incorporates the fashion, jewelry, health, and gift ideas. You could use XYZ's Total Image or something like that. Just make sure you are legal with your licenses and compliance requirements. Those would be listed on a marketing forum. Good luck to you.

A marketing forum might be a better place for business name ideas.

Maybe an acronym for something that describes the company s purpose
(Portable On Demand Storage became PODS which everyone knows now)
or from your names (Adam, Meldrum & Anderson Company became AM&A's which was a big department store chain in western New York (they were eventually bought out by The Bon Ton)).

My husband has been in advertising and branding for decades. A lot of people make the mistake that you are making, which is thinking a cute name will sell your business and products. Same goes for using your initials - that's meaningful only to your family, but not to your prospective customers.

I'd suggest a solid business plan (you can google it or get great help from a good public librarian) to solidify your product line, materials costs/pricing, and determine your method of reaching prospective customers. Will you have a retail outlet? Do craft shows? Do home parties? Direct mail? Will you have a website? If so, do you know what that costs for design, maintenance and hosting? How will you drive people to it? How will you process credit cards? The name of your business won't do any of those things.

You should budget for all of the above, and determine a budget for a qualified advertising/marketing/branding professional. That is not just a graphics person to make a splashy website. Graphics people are valuable, but a beautiful website that no one visits is just an expense and a big cause of business failures.

You have wonderful dreams of everyone working together, and that's terrific. But you need a solid business foundation before you do anything else.

Write out everyone's names, write out just first letters, see if anything pops up from that. Brainstorm about the one thing in common that all your businesses do for a client. Is there a style you all have in common? Synonyms for "everything", or "mixture" or something like that - like Potpourri might inspire a name.
