What shot is that?
Is that a contraceptive shot?
Was this your first trip to the doctor
since you discovered you were pregnant?
Did you tell the doctor (or nurse) about the situation
a couple of weeks ago when you engaged in extreme physical activities and then had cramps and bleeding for the new few days?
About no one helping you . . . . if no one will drive you there,
perhaps there's a bus (or buses) that will get you almost there.
About you don't know what to do.
Apparently you did, in fact, make it to the doctor at least once.
That's good. Smart girl.
You've asked for help here a few times.
If you don't follow our advice, why do you keep asking us?
What do you WANT to do?
Do you think you are still pregnant?
If you are, you're right. You don't want to get contraceptive shots.
However, perhaps the shot is to booster your immune system,
or to counteract an infection that you may have, etc.
Did you understand what kind of shot they were offering?
Did you leave before they could give you the shot?
Did you give a urine sample while you were at the doctor's?
Do you think you might have actually lost the previous pregnancy . . .
but didn't go to the doctor or clinic at that time?
See if you can give us some specific, explicit information
if you want us to help you.
If you can't do that, maybe ask a friend or sister or cousin
to help you write your request.

OK -I don't know if you're "real" or not at this point, but if you are, you're EXTREMELY immature. Did you not say anything to the doctor about being pregnant? Are you sure you ARE pregnant? Seriously -this is starting to sound like something you've dreamed up. The doctor is NOT going to give you a shot of Depo Provera if you're pregnant -end of story. Won't happen. You could have taken care of all of this by simply telling them you thought you were pregnant and needed them to make sure you were. Did you or did you not miscarry last week when you posted? Honestly, given your other posts I don't know what to say anymore. Folks -go back and read her other posts if you haven't and you're confused or think I'm mean.

Here's a REAL eye opener for you Shorty -you have to help yourself! You say no one is helping you -according to this and your other posts, you haven't told anyone you're pregnant, so why should anyone be helping you? I certainly wouldn't haul someone to the ER just because they said they wanted to go. The ER is NOT for pregnancy tests, either -they sell them at every drugstore, grocery store and some quick marts. Go buy one! I'm sorry you "don't like your life," but you need to take some responsibility for it. I hope and pray if you ARE pregnant you'll give this child up for adoption and get an IUD. You don't need to get pregnant for years!

What shot are you refusing that your dr is insisting you need? You don't need to go to the ER for non emergency. You sound young, I think you should turn off your music and talk to your mom.

I'm confused. Does your Dr know you are pregnant? Surely he/she would not try to put you on birth control knowing you were pregnant. Don't go to the ER to get a test, it's intended for emergencies. Your local grocery store will have them. I bought a generic one for $4 a few weeks ago to confirm I was pregnant. If it turns out you are not pregnant, you do not have to get the shot but please consider some type of birth control.

Hi Shorty,
I don't know whats going on with you, I have read your other posts as well. If you really want help, go talk to your mom. Tell her you think your pregnant--the other posts say you are about 14 wks or so-- Or if you can't talk to your mom- go to someone-a trusted adult at school and tell them what is going on with you in your life. No one is going to help you if you don't let them know that something is wrong and you need help! If you are pregnant, I strongly suggest that you give the baby the best chance at life and give him/her up for adoption. Good luck.

If you don't like the shot then don't get it. Even if you aren't pregnant you are in control of your body and how it is treated. Don't let your Dr. do anything that you don't approve of. If they refuse to give you some control of your medical treatment then find another Dr. who will give you a say. Good luck!

Why is your doc trying to put you on the shot if you don't want it? Seems like he should be working for you, not the other way around. Just tell him no, thank you. If you think you are pregnant, he should have ordered a test for you. I guess I'm really confused. Did you tell him that you think you are pregnant? Can you buy a pregnancy test at the store?

I don't understand - what shot? You should go to a drugstore and get a pregnancy test and see if you are really pregnant. Then go back to the Dr and make sure you get pre-natal care. None of that should be at the ER - unless you are having pain and you can't get in to see your regular Dr. If you don't have a regular Dr you can go to a CVS or Walgreens where they have clinics and you can see a nurse practitioner for like $60 they will give you a test.

I am unclear what your question is......

I don't know how old you are, but if you think you are pregnant and haven't told anyone, you need to. They are going to find out eventually, so why not tell them now and get the support and help that you desperately need!

I was 17 when I got pregnant. It was very difficult to tell my mom and dad, but it had to be done. End of story. They were supportive and helped me along the way.
But I have to tell you, being a parent is very HARD WORK! Every step of the way. Don't get me wrong, it is rewarding and the love you have for your child is endless, but it is very difficult to provide for them, go to school, be sleep-deprived, go to work, abruptly end your social life.
The main thing that gets to me is seeing my son's face and knowing that I can't get him everything he wants. His father and I have to work really hard to just get him what he needs. It can be heart-breaking at times. I would much rather have had him when I was done with school and financially stable, out on our own. He is two and we are still living with our parents.
If you are pregnant and don't feel ready for this little bundle of responsibility, PLEASE look into adoption and wait until you can understand what is going on, share in what is supposed to by a joyous time with your husband, and give a blessing to a couple who can love your baby, feed it, clothe it, provide for it.
I'm sorry that you are going through a rough time. A doctor would never give a contraceptive to a pregnant women. You should tell him, and everyone else, that you are expecting so you can get the care that your baby needs, and the help that you need. The world is filled with billions of people, you are NEVER alone.
You are welcome to private message me if want to.
I wish you the best.

Well, you have a previous post from a few weeks ago where you say your due date is May 13th 2011. How is it you're 14 or so weeks along but you've never had that confirmed by a test or doctor? Please tell us how old you are? It may be that you are uneducated about pregnancy, and it sounds like you could use some help. Do you have parents that you can talk to? You certainly don't need an ER bill because you want them to give you a pregnancy test. Buy a test!!!!

What kind of shot did he want to give you? For birth control?

I see from your profile that you believe you are 3 or 4 months pregnant now. Why do you think you are pregnant? Have you ever taken a pregnancy test? Even a Dollar Store test should have given you a reliable answer long before now.

Does your doctor believe you are pregnant? If not, why not? If he has reason to believe you are not, then I can understand why he'd want to help you keep from getting pregnant. Parenting is harder than you can imagine. You sound young and pretty confused – I hope you'll give yourself a chance to grow up for awhile before trying to become a mother. A child needs good, mature parents, ideally both a mom and a dad, to have a good life.

I don't know how old you are but no doctor would give you the depo shot if you told him you might be pregnant, in fact if you were there to Get the shot you could have easily been tested for pregnancy while you were there. I am pretty sure they can give pregnancy tests at the clinic ( Planned Parenthood) or for goodness sakes they even have pregnancy tests at the dollar store. I would really recommend talking to your mom, I am a mom to a teenager and while I may not always be happy with the choices he makes I am pretty clear about I will always be there for him and I am sure your mom feels the same. She may not be happy but I am sure she would be there for you, if not, talk to a school nurse, she may have advice for you on where you can go to be tested.
