Just thought I would throw that out there. We all get to read the fun posts that my husband this or that. Don't even get started with in laws, ya know?

Tonight it was a matter of laughing at a really! stupid joke. :)

So what about your husband makes you think, I love this man!?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

MM I hear ya, I was happy as a clam watching the children play, even the adult one, at Christmas.

Oh god guys I love the responses. I was going to take the lights down from the house when I got home. In caps, be careful. He worries, ya know?

Aww Suzie, I know you said pig but would a cattle prod work?

He gave me something for Christmas that was so totally unexpected and romantic. Totally out of character for him. I've loved him for almost 20 years, but on Christmas morning, after I picked my jaw up off the floor and wiped the tears from my eyes, I fell IN LOVE with him all over again.

Good post, J.. Just what I needed to get today started. I adore my husband. I love that he does quirky things and that he is such a loving family man. Lately he has been perfecting his Super Groover 2.0 voice. He even rummages in his sock. My son and I just melt into fits of giggles every time.

For the last year he's carried me to bed when I fall asleep in the living room. We love laying on the couch at night to watch tv. Unfortunately with my schedule I fall asleep almost immediately. After years of complaining about how fast I fall asleep he just carries me. Unfortunately he deployed in December so I'm slowly learning to roll myself to bed at night.

Besides the fact that after working a hard physical job 10hrs/day, 6-7 days a week - he comes home to his seriously disabled wife and helps with housework and cooks supper.
We have been married for 32 years this April. I have been disabled for 20 of them. He never gives up on me, loves my family (and my dog), never argues (no matter how grouchy I get - pain has that effect), and he treats me like a queen.
We repeat our wedding vows every ten years and everytime, because I love this man so much, the vows bring tears.

When he insists I nap while he plays video games with our boys on a Sunday afternoon :-) I'll usually have a long shower and a long nap, and he handles the kids for a few hours... I always think "I really picked a winner." :-)

Yep. When a door slams into me, because the dude in front of me didn't hold it open. My husband has opened every door since we started dating. I have never had to open a door, or car door when he's with me :) I swear, gentleman don't exist anymore. Except for him, of course!

When I travel to visit family with our daughter and my husband can't vacation with us the entire time because he needs to work, I always come home to little surprises in the house. A couple trips ago he put our daughter's name in big letters in her room and painted the whole room. This last trip he put up shelves in our kitchen and organized all my cookbooks... plus a million other little things!

Love, love this post and I don't even have a husband anymore. He didn't die, we divorced stupidly. I love him too, he is an amazing father (and a pretty darn great ex-husband) and I appreciate that so much!

But seriously, he's pretty awesome, makes me laugh, is understanding and puts up with me.

He's always making me laugh until I hurt. I love that about him! He is sweet, funny, kind and a good husband and father.

It's the little things he does that make me love him. From the texts he sends me from work to let me know he's thinking of me and our son, Just to check in, to covering me up with blankets and giving me a kiss, this morning before he left for work.

It's the little things that count the most!

yeah, i landed a really awesome guy. i don't even know where to begin to talk about him. well, how about he really wasn't into having kids, not opposed, but not like looking for that and 1 month after we got married we found out i can't have kids. and i grew up wanting to be a mommy. i was so sad. i was even more sad knowing this would be my battle, knowing what he had said about having kids. and then i heard him ask the doctor:
so what can we do? when can we start? not knowing what insurance would cover or what we were going to have to do etc. he was ready to get started right then and there.
and we have twins now.

something else, i have plenty of education under my belt but i also wanted to raise my kids so since the year my kids were born i have been working from home. i don't make nearly what i could make if i worked outside the home, and he knows that, yet, he always says you are the bread and should of this family and it makes me sooo happy that he appreciates me staying home with kids. not once in all these years has he said anything other than just praise that i stay home with kids.
i could go on and on and it would still not be enough. my guy is the greatest husband and dad. i just need to remember that every day.

my husband is awesome! I seem to be depressed a lot lately (missing California, we just moved 1 year ago to VA), so I'm a little home sick and he is just there for me. He is patient and will just hug me and let me cry. We are saving up so we can make a trip out there for my sisters college graduation next year and (even though a year seems like forever right now). And right now he is at work and he texted me to make sure the kids are sleeping when he gets home tonight because he has a suprise! I normally hate suprises but I do need something to look forward to right now, so I thought it was super sweet :)

Absolutely nothing at the moment. Stinking, lazy pig.

ETA: Yes, a cattle prod, or a slap in the face with a wet diaper. Right now I wish he'd just f**k off. Goodness me, perhaps I should have a xanax, wine and a good lie down.

I love everything about my hubby! He makes me laugh...that is number 1 in my book! I'm a SAHM, but he still helps me out around the house whenever I ask. And I have to admit, I've been asking him to help out a lot lately(4-month old and 7-year old!). He's just awesome! He's an amazing daddy to our 2 girls too! Personally, I think I have to thank his mom for the way he is...she did an amazing job raising him after his dad died when he was just 6 months old.

I consider myself very lucky...I have an incredible husband(and in-laws!)

Its the little things every day, today for instance when i spent like 100 dollars buying bras and panties he merely wanted to know if i was having a good time. So i sent him pics.

Not to mention he works like 80+ hours a week rarely complains and manages to tell me he loves me and misses me every day.

My husband and I started a One Year Devotional book for couples on 1/1. The other night after reading the daily devotional, hubby broke down and cried, said he needed to change his approach with our son (his stepson) and work better with him. I have NEVER seen him cry in the 4+ years we have been together. It really touched me and reminded me of why I love him so much and what a great dad he is. He's always doing whatever it takes to make all of our lives better and for us all to be happy.

Great question - it is the little things that make a difference. He is super wonderful to me. I am a very lucky lady (most of the time, he's not perfect!)

About 18 months ago I had major back surgery. He was so wonderful and took such great care of me! He never complained about getting me off the potty, yes I know! Bathing me and just making sure I was okay. I'm a very independent person so this was really hard for me. He never rubbed it in my face that I was completely useless for a while. He would walk with me and my walker around the block. He had to take our son to New Orleans and made sure that I had someone with me at all times while he was gone. He drove there and back in one day!!!

He makes me laugh. He is amazing with our kids. He thinks I'm still the sexiest woman around and want to have lots and lots of sex after 25 years of marriage!!! :) He is super sexy with his goatee! I married my best friend.

Yep, he's pretty terrific!

I love when we have random conversations like the most recent one of which superheroes' powers would be really useful in a zombie apocalypse. It's times like that that I know I married the right person.
