...OK, I know that sounds like I'm kidding, but I do not know how else to explain it. My inner thighs and a bit higher are sore like I have been riding a horse. I am 37 weeks pregnant with my first, and as of last week I was dilated 1 cm.

I'm sure it is the pressure of him in my pelvis, but wanted to see who else has felt this before and at what weeks and when they delivered? I am REALLY ANXIOUS to get this baby out...I'm not sleeping and am a zombie!!!

Thanks ladies...

What can I do next?

I hate to break it to you but....I don't think having the baby is going to help you get more sleep. ;) I can't help on the other thing...my little guy decided he was not comming into the world on his own...he was brought here by force.

Congratulations...you've almost made it!

C.,

This is EXACTLY how I explained how I felt when I was about 38-39 weeks pg with my daughter (who will be 5 in July). She had dropped. I'm guessing this is what happened with your baby - assuming this is recent. I woke up one morning and said it felt like I rode to work (from McKinney to downtown Dallas) on a horse.

Good luck!! Sounds like your baby is coming soon :)

I had that feeling when I was right at 38 weeks. A friend told me that was typical and that I would probably deliver soon (I was also having contrations here and there). I was induced due to gestational diabetes so I'm not sure how long I would have gone between the horse riding feeling and labor.

Good luck!!!

Yup, it is the pressure of the baby having dropped. Try warm showers and back massages. Hang in there, it won't be much longer after all you made it to 37 wks! Yeah!

And as someone having gone through infertiility treatments.. Heartfelt congratulations on the baby!!
