As many of you may be feeling...I always feel I need a few extra hours in the day. How is this 5 hour energy? Will it really keep me alert at times when I need to concentrate and get work done? I have a cup of coffee a day but that does give me a crash...what do people say about 5 hour energy?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the advice. I did try 5 hour energy once...first i hated the taste, it did give me some energy but it wasn't what i expected...I felt it was more my thinking that it was working, than it was actually working. I have decided to go the route of getting rest and having daily vitamins instead!

I can't speak to this, but I recommend a 10-15 minute brisk walk to provide you with the energy you need when you feel like you are crashing. It is AMAZING what a little exercise will do for mood, spirit and energy. Good luck!

Hi M.
I don't think I can say this fast enough-but stay away from that kind of stuff. It is just not the way to get energy. You are what you eat-and drink-and that stuff--which is especially hurting our kids-is not the way.
Nutrition is the way to gain energy. Not caffeine and those kids of false stimulants.I have gained 2 quality hours daily from taking patented safe nutritional supplements.
Just run in the other directions from those other drinks.

Hello there...I haven't tried this 5 hour energy. I prefer getting enzymes and vitamins etc. through my own 'juicing'. In addition to juicing you may wish to consider trying good ol' Bee Pollen, which is absolutely the most n a t u r a l energizer there is. Think about it....Bees. What more can one say? My source: Honey Gardens Apiaries from Vermont. Whole Foods does carry it, but it runs out FAST. Be cautious of the more commercialized brands. Know where the bees get their food source from. Bees usually range out as far as 6 miles from their hives to get their pollen to bring back to their Queen. Its best to know the bees are less likely to get their food supply from say, an apple orchard being sprayed with chemicals and pesticides, i.e. Bee pollen is a wonderful way to balance our metabolisms. When paired with a focused intention and good nutrition, it supports metabolic balance in our bodies' systems. As a surprise to me, I lost ten pounds without a thought because the pollen simply gave my body the blood sugar it needed, and cravings for 'white food' disappeared for me. Good luck and Be Peace, N.

I know people who use it and like it BUT I would never use it. Things like 5 Hour Energy are quick fixes that may give you a burst of energy but more holistic changes (diet, exercise, getting enough rest) are much healthier for you.

The energy comes from the vitamin B series same goes for 5 hour energy but we have 14 flavors. Our newest flavor XS GOLD and in order to get the same amount of vitamin B you would have to drink 24 5 hour energy drinks. Don't do it! Stimulants just cause more problems! They are all based on the "rev you up and then you crash" problem you are already experiencing with coffee. Go with a real nutrition company with science at the basis of their products! I have used Reliv for over a year and will never go back to anything else. I've tried everything but this is the product that is based on research and which is not just thrown on the store shelves with a big advertising budget in the hopes of selling a whole lot to a bunch of people - the company makes a quick, huge profit even if people give up on it after a few months. Either that, or they get sort of addicted and have to keep adding more after each crash!

Reliv knows every single customer - I have had great support from the person who cared enough about me to share it, and from others who shared with him, etc. My friends say the same thing - one friend is a mom of 5 who teaches preschool, and she was falling asleep at 8 PM. She has 3 more productive hours per day, she hasn't been sick, her kids' allergies are gone, and more. It's a wonder what really good nutrition can do - we just don't get enough in our diets anymore even if we "eat healthy" because the food is so nutrient-deprived and grown in depleted soils. If you want to make a fundamental change in your nutrition rather than go for a quick-fix product that is just treating a symptom and not the underlying cause, let me know and I would be happy to share!

To be honest, I have never heard of 5 hour energy, but I would highly recommend MonaVie. The antioxidants are amazing to combat stress, give you more energy, help you sleep better, etc. I've been drinking it since last May and I could never give it up. It's not a caffiene-like energy and there's no crash. Check out www.theMVacai.com.

Good luck!

I've tried all that natural stuff others have suggested, and it doesn't do much, but neither does 5 hour energy...for me anyway. A lot of people i know swear by it though, so maybe it would work for you? Give it a try and find out, it's only a few bucks. :-)

Hi, I've tried it a few times and it doesn work. You don't crash, as least I didn't, but it does give you energy for hours. I have a couple bottles in my cupboard right now just in case. And for the price, it's cheaper than coffee. Of course, everyone is different, but just give it a try. I think you'll like it and it good tasting.
Hope this helps..B.

Ok so I'm not completely agreeing with everyone else on here but my husband and I moved from Florida to Massachusetts a few months ago and 5 hour energy kept us up for the ride although it tastes horrible it is good for a quick fix I mean i wouldn't suggest it for everyday use only because i think it is way too powerful but if you NEED to stay awake it will keep you up.....
