Help with Tomato Sandwich

Alright all you Southern Mamas! I need some help. My 4 year old is a wonderful eater. There's very few things she says no to. One of those things she doesn't like is mayonnaise. We're growing our own garden this summer and one of the things we have in the garden is a couple of tomato plants. She'll eat the tomatoes by themselves and wants to try a tomato sandwich - but I don't know what to put on it besides mayo. I don't want to give her a dry sandwich but I'm not sure what to put on it. I thought about Miracle Whip, but my mother says that she thinks it tastes more spicy than regular mayo. Any suggestions? I don't want my daughter to miss out on the joys of a good tomato sandwich!! Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I haven't tried the soy based product yet, but I tried the butter and she really liked it. I guess her English roots are coming out! I really want to try the soy based Nayonnaise. May even try the hummus.....

Hummus? My 3 & 5 year old grandsons love hummus, maybe that would work for her. I wish they would eat tomatoes though! I don't know about for her, but I would love it with pesto too. (I never thought of Miracle Whip as spicy, but I do think it's sweeter.)

My family will not eat mayo either so I buy a soy product that's called nayonaise. It's made out of soy rather than egg so the flavor is very very mild.

Try a little margarine on the bread. That is the way most English people eat their sandwiches. I have lived in England for the past 20 years and know only a handful of people who put mayo on a sandwich and most of them are Americans. The traditional cucumber sandwich is made with butter/margarine spread on the bread and cucumber. Yum! Yum!

Worth a try.
