Hi J.! I just booked mine today for late August!! I did at least 20 hours of research in the last 4 - 5 days including looking at other posts on this sight, mousesavers.com, allears.com and of course disney world. I I called Disney world resorts throught the Polynesian and searched expedia, travelocity and yahoo endlessly. It honestly is a part time job! I did correspond with two mamasource moms as well who were extremely helpful. If you look under requests/responses and search the left tabs under hotel accomodations you'll find more advice. It's all great! I contacted a Brenna and an Ellen, both very knowledgable and helpful. I ended up doing a package through expedia it was the best offer, it even beat booking throught the resort itself!! Good luck and have fun!!

One piece of advice, book your character lunch or brunch months ahead of time. The good ones fill up fast, ie the princess, pirate, or pooh bear one. This is by far the best way to see the characters. You eat and they come to you. No waiting in line!

Hi J.,
I have taken my son to Disney world quite a few times and we stayed at the Disney resort as it has all the ammenities you could want.
The snack bars and restaurants are open til midnight.
The pool is right there and there is alot for the kids to do.
They have shuttle buses that take you to all the parks and water park.
They are very kid friendly. Your kids will love it.

We stayed in a house, here is the site: http://www.atdisneysdoor.com/index.htm We wouldn't do it another way!! We were very comfortable, and enjoyed getting away from all the hoopla of the parks. If you have another questions about the house, fell free to contact me.

We just went & stayed at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. It's a timeshare ON Disney property! It's close to Downtown Disney. It was super cheap, $130/night for a one bedroom condo w/ full kitchen, jacuzzi, separate shower, very nice furnishings. They have a pool, snack area, & transportation to Disney. The only thing is they'll try to get you to do a timeshare presentation. It can be very annoying, but they paid us $150 to sit & listen for 90 min, then tell them there was no way we were going to buy a timeshare! I would recommend it!
