Hello Moms...I really need some help locating a new Family Physician! Our Dr. that we saw for over 15 years has unfortunately passed away. He was the most caring and understanding doctor I have ever known! He was located in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas. I live in McKinney, but am willing to drive to any areas within the DFW area if need be for the right doctor. We have United Healthcare Insurance. I need to find a Dr. who is caring and willing to listen to my issues and be understanding. Also someone who I can make an appointment with fairly quickly. I suffer with a couple of chronic issues, which I have been on the same medications for for several years. I need maybe even an "old school" doctor who is willing to be understanding and really listen to my issues...not so convervative, as many doctors seem to be now!! Just open and down to earth. Can anyone recommend someone? I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have! Thanks and have a great day!

What can I do next?

Dr. Kenneth P Carlson in Arlington TX ###-###-#### AND ###-###-####. He is great with my 2 and 4 year old. I have friends that live all the way in Grapevine and Dallas that go just to see him, he is so nice, understanding , he listens and his staff is great. I dont know if he takes your insurance but Im sure he does.

I really like Dr. Talatala. He is very good. Very thourough (sp?). He listens very well. He discovered something that several other doctors had missed and I credit him with my finally being able to conceive my son after many years of disappointment. My whole family - my mom, brother, step-dad, husband - all go to him. He is in Carrollton - 3730 N. Josey Ln. His number is ###-###-####.

Dr. John Moon...his practice is in Plano...off the Tollway and Spring Creek but he (and his entire office) are amazing. The practice is Village Health Care and they do take United Healthcare.

I really like Dr. Bolin in Frisco. He takes United Healthcare. He is a good combo of old school and current. He will sit and chat with how things are going and stay there until all of your questions are answered. He is also concerned about how much things cost for the patient but he will make sure you get what you need in the line of tests, etc. His office staff is great and I the longest I have ever been there for a sick appointment is 30 mins. All around great experience there and have been seeing him for 5 years.
