I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my first child ( I have 2 step-kids). My OB is at Delaware County and I LOVE him!! I really am not looking to switch doctors. I was just wondering if anyone else has delivered at Delaware county and what kind of experience you had. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Hi B.,

I delivered my daughter there 2 years ago and everything was fine, most of the nurses were very nice. When I delivered they had like 20 or so babies born that day and even thought things were crazy, all went well and if my insurance hadn't changed and delco was still covered and I was having any others I would go there.

Good Luck!!!

I just delivered my first baby at Delaware County a few months agao and I too was a bit skepticle. I thought I was in for a less than excellent experience but I was more than plesantly surprised. I had a fantastic expereience, loved my nurse and my Dr. was amazing. My delivery nurse even came in on her day off to visit me! They were wonderful!!! I can't say enough good things about them. Good luck!

I delivered both my boys at DCMH and was thrilled both times. I also love my OB/Gyn but, to be honest, the doctors are only there to deliver the baby. It's the nurses that make the difference and they are WONDERFUL!!! There was not a single nurse during my stays that didn't treat me as if I were their only patient. I felt cared for and comfortable.

Hi B.

I am due to deliver at delaware county within the next few weeks. I have been on the L&D floor 3 times already due to issues with this little guy and so far the nurses have been wonderful. I'll try to find your post after my delivery to update the experience. I switched to Delco after my previous OB stopped delivering and I had had 2 experiences at Riddle that I wasn't happy with anyway. I have had a couple of friends deliver at Delco and all have had good things to say about their stays, they all say the nurses are great and they really are the ones who make or break you hospital experience...

I delivered at Crozer 2 times and had 2 wonderful experiences. My labor nurses were amazing, I even have their pictures in my boys baby albums. I do not have one bad thing to say about Crozer. I have a friend who has had 3 c-sections at Crozer and also had very positive experiences. Hope that helps a bit.
