I need to find a good gynocologist in the Waukesha County area, preferrably in Pewaukee, Oconomowoc area (Brookfield and Waukesha would be okay too). I usually prefer a woman Dr. I really could use some recommedations since I am fairly new to this area.

What can I do next?

Hi, C.!

I go to WomenCare, 20611 Watertown Road, Waukesha, WI 53186. ###-###-####. Dr. Elaine Liverman was my gynecologist, but recently left the practice for medical reasons. I thought she was great. I just went and saw Dr. Sternitzky. I really liked her and I think I will probably keep her for my OB/Gyn. They are a facility with all women staff and women patients. I highly recommend them.

I like the new Aurora women's center in Oconomowoc - it's a new center, branched off from the wilinson clinic. Dr. Dudley is a really good, friendly dr. I saw her once, but I'm a regular patient of Dr. Gustin (man), for 15 yrs. I trusted only him with my last twin pregnancy, and with his expertise & caring, I had a healthy twin pregnany & an easy birth.

Hi C.,
I know you said you prefer female doctors, as did I, but I found the best doctor ever, and he's male. His name is Dr. Patrick Sims, and he's at the Wilkinson Clinic in Hartland, on Hwy 83 ###-###-####), or at the Oconomowoc Aurora Women's Clinic- not sure of the exact namne, they just opened up. Anyway, he has been my doctor for the last 5 years, has delivered both of my kids, is very patient, is easy to talk to, has very good bed-side manner, and I've recommended him to all of my friends.

I would highly recommend my OBGYN/Family Practice Dr. Her name is Dr. Tracy Lewis and she is located in Waukesha on Hwy 59 and Hwy 164. It is a ProHealth Care Center. Dr. Lewis is in her late 30's with 4 kids and very high energy. She has a great sense of humor and will talk to you like a person in terms that you can understand. I truly enjoy her. The only cons is you have to plan ahead for appointments because she can get booked quickly and it sometimes takes a couple hours to get a return phone call from the nurse line when you call in with questions.

Good luck in your search.
