Hi there! Kind of new in town and was wondering, amongst the 50 questions I have.. anyone know of a good bakery, fresh daily bread and great sweets to feed that tooth that comes-a-knockin' on the occasion? Also a good butcher.... I live in the Pewaukee area and am lovin' getting to know the area a little more.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for the tips on bakeries and butchers. I will be looking into them. Also found a new place (have yet to enter) at the Pewaukee lake front (the area is so adorable) a bakery called "Cakes While U Wait" can't wait to try. very charming area. Thanks again. It's great to have such a warm circle of moms so close.

Hi C.,
In Pewaukee (where I used to live, and still visit) I love Panera and there is a little cake bakery across the street from Pewaukee Lake that has lots of little goodies, besides cakes. I now live in Oconomowoc. If you ever visit...go to Sweetie Pies. It's in the old downtown area. Not only is it delicious, with lots and lots of baked goodies, they have a good menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner (excellent food). Not only is the food good, but it is a visually darling place! Just follow Hwy. 16 North and keep going until your in the downtown area....(right now there is a lot of construction, and the road is closed once you get downtown, but there is parking behind the buildings. Sweetie Pies would be on your left). Good luck in Pewaukee, it is a nice community. :) CK

Hi C.,

There is a good meat shop in Waukesha, not far from Pewaukee. It's called Kreitmeyer's (not sure if I spelled it correctly)and is on Sunset Dr. The owner used to be the head meat cutter at Graash's (a high-end grocery store in Brookfield). Everyting we've had from there has been excellent!
