So What Happened?

Thanks for the great ideas on places to go. We ended up at the W..?? Castle in Haverhill and it was perfect for the day. We loved walking the trails, but could not find the castle. Going back next week for another adventure. Thanks again for all your responses!!

There is a WONDERFUL book - the link is above - called Playgrounds of the North Shore. I am not associated with it in anyway - I just got a copy of it when it first came out a few years ago, and it has been a Bible for me. It tells you everything you need to know about a playground from whether there are bathrooms to what age it is appropriate for - just EVERYTHING. But - if you don't get the book (which, believe me, it is worth the investment) - there is the Amesbury playground on Friend Street, there is Field of Dreams in Salem, NH (don't know the street name, but starting at Toys R Us - take a right out of the parking lot, take your first left, and the playground is on the left). Nothing too great in Haverhill, but in nearby in West Newbury is Action Cove on Bachelor Street - just off Rte. 113. Good luck and have fun!

Winnikenni Castle has a good playground and miles of trails too! Also there is the field of dreams playground in Salem, NH over by the high school. There is also a really nice park in Amesbury, but I can't remember the name. There is a frisbee golf course there, the only one of its kind in the area, if you google searched frisbee golf in Amesbury you'd easily come up with it. Pentucket Lake School in Haverhill also has a nice playground which is open in the summer until dusk and during school from after school until dusk. Have fun playing!

Field of Dreams in Salem Nh is located on the same road as Salem High, and District Court. Lots of tree cover, a swing set and a castle structure. Close to the mall and Toys R Us. Enjoy!
