Does anyone know of any great summer programs for a few hours a day a few days a week for little ones like in the 3 yr old age group? I am looking for something in the Henderson or Las Vegas area, but do not want something that is a daycare setting. Just looking for Something fun and social for my child for a few hours a week to interact with other little ones. If you know of anything or have ideas please share them with me. Thanks

What can I do next?

Have you checked the City of Henderson website? http://www.cityofhenderson.com
You can find near-by parks, splash pads etc. which are free or the pools which charge just a small fee to get in. The rec centers also have programs for all different age groups.
Good luck! :)

Hi J.,
I actually have a play date group that I take my grand daughter to. We meet every Wednesday at 9:30 am for a few hours at a nearby park in the Henderson area or at a participants house. Most of the kids are between 16 months and 2 1/2 years old. Yours would be a little older than the rest, but we don't mind! If you are interested, send me your email address and I can send you this weeks meeting place and info. Each week we have a different theme, this week it is balls and bubbles. It is a really great group of kids and parents.

The multi gen. center on Green Valley has lots of great classes. Also, a new place opened called Child's Play (not in henderson though, it is on Cimmarron). Check out the website it looks great. I have not tried it yet but am going to with my 2 yr old.

Hi J.,

I don't know of any programs, per se, but Henderson Parks and Rec offers a lot of classes for little ones that aren't too expensive. Swimming, tumbling, art, etc. My daughter participated in them when she was little and she really liked them.
