So What Happened?

Hi Moms
Thank you for all your help.
The cheapest cookie cutter I found would have cost around $12.
I ended up buying 2 round cookie cutters and will use one for the face and the other one for the ears (cut in 1/2)
Next weekend we are trying to the fondant....
Your help was greatly appreciated.

I.,

Try the MM fondant recipe. Marshmallow, it tastes very good, easy to make (this is what I use) and sooooo much cheaper than buying premade fondant!

I also second Cake Carousel. They have a great supply there too. I tried making fondant and it didn't go so well so I ended up buying the White Satin Fondant also sold at this place and you just color the fondant with the Wilton food coloring and turns out great and it taste really great too. http://www.cakecarousel.com/
Now I haven't been to this place yet but you can try to see if they have a cookie cutter here. http://www.elizabethscakesupplies.com/index.html

Good Luck!

If you are going to use black fondant, I would highly recommend Satin Ice brand of premade fondant. I got mine at Elizabeth's Cakes, which I think is in Bedford. They have weird hours. I'd call before driving over there. I've also made the marshmellow kind, and it turned out good for a light color. I've never made it with a dark color. If you need a recipe, I'd check out cakecentral.com. Good luck!

Call the Disney Store back and ask for the number to either Disneyland or Disney World merchandising. Depending on how soon you need it they have stores that can ship it to you. Main Street has a kitchen store in both DL and Magic Kingdom.

You might want to try Cake Carousel off of 75 central and Arapaho rd in Richardson. They have more of a selection of baking goods.
