I have had enough. I have got to lose this weight for my baby. I dont want something to happen and my baby not have a parent. Detox pills are designed to work along with a healthy diet. It won't work if you are eating bad fats. Look into weight watchers...you can eat whatever foods you like. It just teaches you how much of it you can eat. The first few days leave you a tad hungry but it takes no time at all for it to be a lifestyle! I lost 35lbs in 2 months!

Hi BD,

I'm not familiar with that product but a colon cleanse is almost necessary once or twice a year with the foods that we eat these days. EVERYONE should have at least 3 bowel movements a day about an hour after a meal. That's the only way to have the "healthiest" colon. The healthier the colon, the healthier your body. AND yes most everyone loses a lot of weight. (Not only because you are losing "crud" but because your body knows how to manage weight because your body is healthier.) The "crud" that is retained in the colon and the intestines can cause so many problems from a simple tummy ache to cancers to neurological problems to eczema.

God bless you and stick with it... :)

Regards,

M.

Best way to "flush " your body is with what God gave us....water-fruits and veggies...let me tell you, my Dad just had emergency surgery last week to remove some of his colon- if youdon't take care of your plumbing....you will end up in the hosptial. Now that you are an adult- I would suggest eating fruits and veggies every day- I was not raised eating alot of fruit or fish- but trained myself to like them now- becuase they are great for your body....the only way to lose weight and keep it off and take care of your body- is to eat a healthy diet- retrian your habits...and exercise....you can do- find a friend that will be an accountability partner for you....or join a gym with a nutritionist....Good Luck

I haven't tried Flush the Fat but I have tried Arbonne's Seasource Detox Cleanse and it is GREAT. Not harsh cleansing but definitely cleanses you and makes you feel great and energized. Also, Arbonne has an Herbal Colon Cleanse for Daily use. I would recommend you speaking with a health professional before trying anything if you are having such bowel issues. Then when there is no problem try these. In addition to the cleanse the daily vitamin Hybrids are excellent to give you the superfood antioxidants that you are not getting from fruits and veggies. I would be happy to give you more info if you are interested. Just email me and I will tell you how to get the products at wholesale prices.

Also you probably should eat more fiber as well. I use arbonne's orange fiber shake with a vanilla protein shake and add frozen strawberries or blueberries and a half of banana maybe and use this for my breakfast. It is good and I get great fiber and fruit and protein. You can really use any fruits that you like. If you try it you may just like it.
My child is VERY picky and she will drink these frozen shakes.

I haven't tried it but I know of some people who have gone to a local clinic and had it done. Here it's called a colonic. They use a machine that you actually control. you are in the room alone (after they set you up). I've heard of people loosing 15 lbs at a time just from removing the (sorry, kind of gross) impacted feces in your intestines. Our large intestines is 15 feet long. You usually have to go for several treatments and at $150 a session it's rather expenesive but effective. When you think about it, you are walking around with all that "stuff" in your body and a cleansing does make sense. I don't think the pill is as effective. Also, I tried a diet years ago called "Fit for Life". With that diet you have to start off eating fresh fruits and vegetables first thing in the a.m. Fresh fruits and vegetable digest easiest on an empty stomach and help you loose excess weight. Then you follow the fruits and veggies with other foods that are a little harder to digest.

I am happy for you that you want to be healthy and do what it takes to maintain a healthy lifestyle...for yourself and for your baby. I don't know about that product, but I do know that having bowel movements that infrequently is definitely a problem. I suggest you see a doctor, unless implementing the suggestions from these posts makes a difference first. Fiber is very important to colon health. Fruits and vegetables and whole grains are the preferred way to get fiber and stay healthy. Drinking lots of water is important too. Try your best to work those in to your diet or at the very least use a substitute fiber product. You can do it. Being a picky eater is a choice, a state of mind, and a luxury that comes from living in a prosperous country with so many eating choices. You need to get over it, especially now that you have a child that will be watching and learning from your eating habits. You don't want to pass bad health on to your child because of your choices. I suggest you look at www.flylady.net. It could help you a lot, especially the body clutter parts. You should also start walking. My grandfather died from colon cancer and my mother-in-law just had surgery to remove about a foot of her colon. It took years to finally figure out that the intense pains she was having were from colon problems. It got so bad she almost died. You really don't want to go through that. Once you start a healthier lifestyle of eating right and exercising you will feel so good! You will be amazed at how great your body feels. I wish you the best.

If you are pregnant you shouldn't take anything that you haven't cleared with your doctor. I know of a natural product that will help get your bowel movements into a normal pattern. The company also has a online weight loss program.

I strongly suggest that you have some colon cleans session. Your bowels should move (at least) every 24-36 hours. I am not sure where you are located but you should call a center and speak with someone that can advise you on what you options are. My bowels are pretty regular but I was beginning to have some other issue that raised a concern for me. I have gone to a place called Colon Care Center in Alpharetta Ga and the staff there are so helpful. I would advise you on calling a few before you use any over the counter remedies first. If you would like the phone number to where I went just let me know. Good Luck.

A colon cleanse is fine but the weight loss is only temporary--exercise and increasing your metabolism is the key the weight loss. Also, if you will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner (smaller portions) with snacks in between those meals--that alone will increase your metabolism. The problem with constipation can be easily relieved by using Benefiber (a powder that is tasteless and you mix into anything you drink 3 times a day plus get some Activa yogurt and eat one yogurt a day (it is good and even if you don't like it, it is small in quantity so just eat it) and your constipation problem will be solved within days. About 75% of the immune system is located in the digestive tract so if your digestive tract isn't healthy, your immune system is lowered greatly. I am an older Mom (son of two boys--17 and 18 and have two other boys 18 and 19 that have adopted me and live with us as otherwise they would be homeless). I am in menopause and that causes constipation but once I started the benefiber and the activa, that problem was solved and has not returned for months but you have to use the benefiber (and I promise it is tasteless even in water) and eat the activa. Constipation is typically caused by lack of fiber and not enough water. If you don't like plain water, try some of the flavored waters until you find one that you like--then drink as much water as you can every day and that will help as well. Plus water makes you feel full and you won't eat as much. I am 51, 5'8" and 125 lbs--thankfully have never had a weight problem even though I gained 50 pounds with my first child--but I keep my metabolism high due to the way I eat (I eat about 6 or 7 times a day but the portions are always small) and I drink about 48 oz of water a day--but the great thing is that I eat whatever I want including sweets. Water flushes the system better than any product you can buy. I hope this helps. Have a blessed day.

I've never heard of that brand before but colon cleansing puzzles me anyway. I migh be wrong but from what I understand, when you go to a DRs office for one, it's basicly an enama they give you!! Not fun-I used to be a CNA and had to give those to people!!!

On the other hand, you say you have a child. Well you really need to try to stop being a picky eater and learn to like some fruits and veggies!! Not only for yourself but to be a good influence for your child as well. I'm picky about my veggies. I can only eat broccoli if it is in something like alfrado sauce. I love calliflower baked in the oven with a little olive oil and some garlic and onion poweder (my kids eat it up too!!). My aspearagus has to be freash (I got spoiled as a kid with a garden!!) and I either buy the baby pitte carrots and dip them in ranch or I buy canned carrot slices, drain some of the liquid and put about 1/4 stick butter and some brown sugar in the pot. My daughter calls this honey carrots!! I only buy one brand of canned peas-Lesueur (very young small pease) becasue thoese are nice and tender!! Toss a couple of beef bulioun cubes in with a can of green beans!! That is how I do it. If those ideas don't work for you could alos check into that book Deceptively Delisious where it is recipies about putting squash in your cookies!! I have a friend that got it and she said it is a great book and easy to use!!

Also, add some water to your diet. And if you drink a lot of soda, try to cut it out or at least 1 can a day and you be shocked at how much weight you might drop right from the start!! I lost almost 10lbs in about 2 weeks and my DH who lives on Mt. Dew lost almost 20lbs!!!

If your child is still young enough, pop him/her in the stroller and go power walking for 2 miles in the evening!! He gets some freash air and some mommy time and you get to exercise!! www.sparkpeople.com is a good place for you to check out for a nutrition tracker (www.mypyrmaid.gov has a great one!!) and get some free videos you can do really quick in your own home!! Get recipies and find motovation!!

Good luck and don't look for the faster answer because it might not be the best one.

Hello!
First I'm going to urge you to see a Chiropractor! It will increase your metabolism and get your bowels moving asap. You HAVE to drink water! Our body is over 90% water, if you dont replace it, you will never lose the weight and your body will have multiple aches/pains and problems like constipation. Try vitamin water, its great and flavorful without the artifical sweetners. You have to eliminate all artifical sweetners. They will keep the pounds on and make you feel aweful! It is truely posion. Look up dangers of aspartame and you will be amazed! You need to add fiber to your diet. Try whole grain breads if you cant handle the fruit/veggies. The most powerful veggie you can get is spinach. Get a bag and chop it as fine as you can possibly get it. Throw it into a mix of the foods you do eat. You can even put it in a shaker(like salt but you'll need bigger holes) and just spinkle a little here and there and you'll never know its in there! I know this is HARD but you are reaching out for you and your baby so I know you CAN do it:) If you want to do a detox, I would highly recommend New Horizon Organics. It is a whole body cleanse that has goldenseal and milk thristle in it. These are natural herbs that will detox the liver and other areas. Keep in mind, if your doing a detox, you have to follow it. You cant eat junk food or other bad choices with it and expect it to work. Do you drink soda? If so, taking this out is going to make you drop at least 20 lbs. Stevia is a natural sweetner that is not as harmful as the artifical ones. This and the detox can be found at health food markets. Let me know if I can offer any more advice. Best of luck to you:) Your doing a great job and your a great mommy:))

HI B. D.:

Don't know anything about the flush but just want to let you know that you should be eating fruits and veggies not just to loose weight but because they contain vitamins and minerals that your body needs to be healthy. There are lots of different ways to prepare veggies to make them tasty. Example: Blue Cheese Coleslaw. You get the cheese and you get the veggies. Try changing you diet. Remember you are setting an example for your child. Your eating habits will become the childs eating habits.

I agree with talking to your doctor, but I would also recommend using Miralax to help regulate your bowel movements. You can buy big bottles of it at Sam's.
