Dr. Lloyd in Arlington (Pediatric Dentist)

My 2 boys went to the dentist yesterday for checkups and both have cavities. One boy has 4 and one boy has 3. Yes - I feel like a horrible mom but neither have complained about hurting and they haven't been to the dentist in about 1 1/2 years due to cruddy insurance. So - my insurance has very few pediatric dentists on it (they just saw the one I use) and the check up dentist wants a pediatric one to do the fillings. One apparently is large enough that it will probably be pretty extensive work. The one dentist on my plan is Dr. Lloyd in Arlington. Has anyone used him and what did you and your child think ? TIA !

What can I do next?

Dr. Lloyd was my dentist when I was a child and I loved him.
He is on my daughter's new dental insurance plan and I will start taking her there next year.

We used him for couple of years now for check ups.
Hopefully we did not have problems and no cavities so we did just check ups and cleanings
Staff is nice. I talked to doctor briefly and he is OK.
They do not let parents go in the treatment area.
I am not sure if this is something you have problems with.
Good luck

Fnatastic man-gentle and good with kids and the office is awesome for children and entertainment. A lady from our church works for him, Elaine Skiles and likes him a lot.

We love Dr Lloyd. My son doesn't have enamel on his teeth. I took him to two pediatric dentist before Dr Lloyd, first Dr Debbie Sullivan and another off of Matlock. One wanted to put silver caps on all of my son's teeth when he was 3 yrs old and the other wanted to do about half his mouth plus really drug him up on some special drink (they couldn't even tell me what was in the drink)! Dr Lloyd has done 4 caps in 4 years. He says there is no reason to put a child through all of that unless it is necessary, especially since the teeth will fall out. He just checks the teeth every six months and we take it from there. Plus my son loves him and the office!

LOVE Dr Lloyd and his staff. I have been taking my grand daughter to him for 2 years now and she is doing well under his care.

My sister in law suggested this dentist to me. Her kids have seen him for years and he has done some extensive work on them.

I wish I had had a dentist like Dr Lloyd when I was young. I probably wouldn't be afraid of dentists now if I had.

Good luck.
