Hi K.

I finally took my daughter to the dentist when she turn 3. J. Micheal Lloyd a dentistry for Children & Teenagers. They have a website as well. www.kidsddsonline.com. My daughter is very shy and always fights me on brushing her teeth I thought for sure he wasn't going to be able to do anything. I was shocked when he was able to get x=rays and was able to clean her teeth. The only thing I didn't like was that I wasn't able to go back with her after calling around I found out most do not allow parents go back.

Oh one more thing do not take you child to MONACH DENTAL. Everyone I know and including myself was told they had bad gum disease and need to get fix....and I was told I need 3 crowns and Had alot of cavitys and so on. I brush my teeth 2 to 3 days a day. I thought that was odd So I went to another dentist and they told me my gums where in excellent condition I only had 1 cavity and 1 crown due to the last denties didn't fill the tooth corretly from last cavity.

Well good luck on finding one.

J.

My children (5 and 18 months) go to Dr. Bailey. They love the office and him. Check out their web site at www.fundentist.com. We downloaded the book from their web site and my son read it every night for a week before his first appointment. It really helped him be more comfortable knowing exactly what was going to happen. And then when my youngest chipped his tooth, my five year old was upset that he didn't get to go to the dentist too. We go to the Little Road location.

If you're close to Mansfield, I highly recommend Dr. Deborah Sullivan. She and her staff are great. You can be with your child during procedures and they make going to the dentist fun.

I also highly recommend Dr. Lloyd. He was recommnended to me and I have been very satisfied with him. Dr Lloyd and his staff are great and very patient with the kids. My older daughter turned 7 in May and our insurance made us change her to a "regular" dentist. She was very upset and wants to go back to Dr. Lloyd!

My children (4,8 and 13) go to Dr. Michael Lloyd in Arlington on SW Green Oaks. His number is ###-###-####. When my youngest was 3, she fell and broke her front tooth in half and injured her gum. She had to have a mini root canal and have it capped. NO TEARS or anything. All of my girls love him!!! I do too!

Definitley Dr. Michael Lloyd!!! I saw you already have several recomendations for him. He is great. They are also very prompt to call your children back. The wait is never long and the only drawback (if you can call it that) is that the kids don't hae that much time to play in the waiting room.

K.,
I have two children who had significant, inherited dental issues. We've seen just about every pedodontist from Baylor Dental program to west Fort Worth. We are now with a dentist in FW who is worth every drop of gas and every minute of the drive. His name is Dr. Stan Preece (some dental insurance plans list his first name as George). He and his office staff are wonderful. They allow parents in the room while they work (a huge factor for me after another pedo held my dd down and did work w/o anesthesia), and they are very accommodating, besides being wonderful with the kids. One piece of advice, though. Since it's a long drive, if a child has significant work done, have another adult drive you over there so you can sit in the back seat on the way home. It's hard to deal with blood and crying when you are driving I-20!!

Blessings,
P.

Dr Michael Lloyd on Green Oaks is WONDERFUL!!! I took my son to two other dentist before we went to Dr Lloyd and no one compares to him. My son is 5 and doesn't have enamel on his teeth. He has had two caps put on and he still loves Dr Lloyd. He is not afraid at all. Plus Dr Lloyd does NOT push procedures on you. He feels why put the child through that unless it is absolutely necessary. The others wanted to cap ALL of his teeth!!! Good luck

We have taken our granddaughter to Dr J. Michael Lloyd at 3851 SW Green Oaks Blvd, #123. He is just west of the intersection of Park Springs and Green Oaks on the North side of Green Oaks.

I was not crazy about the idea of not getting to go back with her on her first visit, but after talking to a few people who have been to this dentist, I was willing to give it a try. They have a big open room for the kids so they aren't "alone" with the dr. After her teeth had been checked and she had been shown how to brush her teeth, they had me talk with the dentist. He told me what he thought of her tooth growth and said she had no cavities and her teeth looked good. She got a balloon and walked out very excited. We already have an appointment to go back after 6 months. We had a very positive experience with this dentist.
